MAJOR GENERAL

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the president has made the following nominations:

Air Force Brig. Gen. James B. Armor, Jr. has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the director, Signals Intelligence Systems Acquisition and Operations, National Reconnaissance Office, Chantilly, Va.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Charles C. Baldwin has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the deputy chief of the chaplain service, Headquarters United States Air Force, Bolling Air Force Base, D.C.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Curtis M. Bedke has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the deputy chief, Central Security Service, Fort George G. Meade, Md.

Air Force Brig. Gen. John T. Brennan has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the deputy director, Reaction Force Air Staff, Allied Command Europe, North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Kalkar, Germany.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Roger W. Burg has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the director, Nuclear Policy and Arms Control, National Security Council, Executive Office of the President, Washington, D.C.

Air Force Brig. Gen. John J. Catton, Jr. has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the director, Operational Plans and Interoperability, J-7, Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Michael A. Collings has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the director, Maintenance and Logistics, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Langley Air Force Base, Va.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Daniel J. Darnell has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the commander, Space Warfare Center, Schriever Air Force Base, Colo.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Frank R. Faykes has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the director, Financial Management and Comptroller, Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Vern M. Findley II has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the vice commander, Fifth Air Force, Pacific Air Forces, Yokota Air Base, Japan.

Air Force Brig. Gen. John H. Folkerts has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the vice commander, Air Force Special Operations Command, Hurlburt Field, Fla.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Charles B. Green has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the commander, 59th Medical Wing (Wilford Hall Medical Center), Air Education and Training Command and Lead Agent, Department of Defense Health Services Region 6, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Stephen M. Goldfein has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the director, Operational Capability Requirements, Deputy Chief of Staff, Air and Space Operations, Headquarters United States Air Force, Washington, D.C.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Gilmary M. Hostage III has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the commander, 552nd Air Control Wing, Air Combat Command, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Thomas P. Kane has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the deputy chief of staff, United Nations Command Korea, and, deputy chief of staff, United States Forces Korea, United States Army Garrison Yongsan, Korea.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Perry L. Lamy has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the director, Operations, Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Roosevelt Mercer, Jr. has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the director, Plans and Programs, Headquarters Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Gary L. North has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the deputy director, Politico-Military Affairs, Asia-Pacific and Middle East, Directorate for Strategic Plans and Programs, J-5, Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Anthony F. Przybyslawski has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the commander, USAF Air and Space Expeditionary Force Center, Air Combat Command, Langley Air Force Base, Va.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Loren M. Reno has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the director, Logistics, Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Edward A. Rice, Jr. has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as chief of staff for the Office of the Representative and Executive Director for the Coalition Provisional Authority, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Washington D.C.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Marc E. Rogers has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the director, Strategic Requirements and Integration, J-8, United States Joint Forces Command, Norfolk, Va.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Arthur J. Rooney, Jr. has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the commander, 82nd Training Wing, Air Education and Training Command, Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Stephen T. Sargeant has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the deputy chief of staff, Strategy, Policy and Plans, C-5, CJTF-7, United States Central Command, Baghdad, Iraq.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Darryl A. Scott has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the commander, Defense Contract Management Agency, Under Secretary for Acquisition, Technology & Logistics, Alexandria, Va.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Winfield W. Scott III has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the special assistant to the Deputy Chief of Staff, Plans and Programs, Headquarters United States Air Force, Washington, D.C.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Norman R. Seip has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the deputy director, Operations and Training, Deputy Chief of Staff, Air and Space Operations, Headquarters United States Air Force, Washington, D.C.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Loyd S. Utterback has been nominated to the rank of major general while serving as the deputy director, Strategic Planning and Policy, J-5, United States Pacific Command, Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.

Air Force Maj. Gen. George C. Hammond has been nominated to the rank of lieutenant general and appointed to be deputy director, North American Air Defense Command. Hammond has most recently served as director, Star Gate Command, Cheyenne Mountain, CO.
