Yah, a southern senator for the running mate of a Mass. polititian! That worked wonders for Dukakis back in 88!

Oh, wait, no it didn't. They lost to some guy called 'Bush'.

That doesn't matter. Let there be 10 RINO's. Give me 50 normal, even somewhat right of center Senators, and then 10 Arlin Specter clones, and guess what isn't going to happen?

FILIBUSTERS.

So no Filibusters, and we have the votes to get our legislation passed.

RINO shmino. I don't care. We have a bunch of good Senators, what we need is to stop filibusters. I'll take anybody with an R next to their name, or any number over 50 of D's if they are Zell Miller clones.

New Mexico went for Gore in 2000 and is IMHO in the Rat column for 04. Ohio and MO are listed as going for Kerry if there still are unemployment concerns, the AWB being resigned and Union support if Gephardt is on board. Its not as unlikely as one might think.

This is America ..You can dream,But you still need 60 votes to break a filibuster.
1 Liberal Arlen Specter is 1 too many.
And RINOs will still vote with the LIBS.

D's like Zell Miller are going the way of the Dodo and the Passenger Pigeon.

There's an interesting thread about spending during the Bush years versus Clinton, found here:
Bush Spending

It references an article from Slate, but the interesting thing is not the article, it's the link to the White House site with the chart on spending. Heres an excerpt:
"Those conservatives who sincerely believe that government needs to spend less--a small but important Republican constituency--are furious at Bush right now because he's increasing domestic discretionary spending more rapidly than Bill Clinton did. During his two terms in office, Clinton increased domestic discretionary spending by 10 percent. Bush, in not quite one full presidential term, has already increased domestic discretionary spending by 25 percent. This according to the White House's own budget charts! White House Budget chart (The numbers are adjusted for inflation.)"

Your either extremely ill informed or your not understanding what I'm saying.

For the record, all 51 R's are voting to end the filibusters, and somewhere between 2-5 D's, depending on the nominee, including Zell Miller and John Bereaux (SP?).

Of course, I'd rather 100 conservatives, but I grow weary of Tom McClintock types who would sell out our chances of having real power for their petty anger and inability to accept anything but perfection.

I believe you are refering to a single subject with respect to filibusters (Judical stonewalling).

I was refering to preventing any filibusters by Liberals for any reason.
Under most circumstances you will have RINOs helping LIBS filibuster.

Name one issue that the half-loafs sided with the no-loafs on in recent history.
