good interview from this point of view- russert framed the upcoming election: you said there were wmd and there aren't, and the economy is (still) in the tank.
bush answer- on Iraq guy was dangerous and had to go I acted with the best info I had, and on the economy, its coming back.
If you could play either hand which would you choose?
To: Stu Cohen
Guess you would rather have a President that is a very good speaker that spins and lies while fluently speaking.
I though Pres Bush did a very good job during the interview of getting his message across and making Russert look like the Clinton DemocRAT shill that he is.
I feel that he not only had to do this interview to get his message out but that he did a very good job of doing just that. You obviously don't understand the way we talk in Middle America but that is also why we relate to this President! He is down to earth and speaks from the heart. Guess that is difficult for people from the East Coast to understand. He sounds like my neighbors here and in Texas which appeals to us "uneducated folks with IQ's less than 100!" (sarcasm)

I second that, being from Chicago, the dems virtually have one party rule in most major cities. Thank goodness the founding fathers decided that the president should not be elected by majority vote.

I base it on Cheney's inability or unwillingness to forcefuly defend Bush against Dem attacks. Part of the reason Bush is at 48% approval and equal with Kerry is that the Dem lies have gone unchallenged for over a year. Going unchallenged could be perceived as possibly being true by a large percentage of the voters (wrongly). He, Frist, Hastert and others have been disgracefully absent. They should be on the news shows following each debate, debunking the lies from top on down. If Cheney is reticent BECAUSE of the PERCEIVED ties to Halliburton, more reason for him to step aside. He's been invaluable as an advisor, he needs to be a vocal and VISIBLE supporter. Bush needs to stay relatively above the fray and have the other senior GOP leaders do some of the heavy lifting, before it's too late - see Bush 41!

I'd put up President Bush's average height, good character and steadfast leadership against the tall, dark, liberal Frankenstein look any time.

Dean....who is HE? How does HOWard know anything?
To: God luvs America
...the door is constantly left open for the President to walk through and shove it up the opponents butts yet he won't do it.He's not that kind of person. His way will prove to be even more effective, IMO.

"I flew fighters, I was part of the air defense command system....."Had Bush been in the TX Air National Guard now, he would be one of the fighter pilots that are flying F-16's in Combat Air Patrols (CAP) around the US and escorting suspect airliners onto the ground. Whether Bush was POTUS or in the TX, ANG, on Sept 11th. 2001, he would still have been airborne in defense of the country.

Theresaaaa also thinks this is the FIRST time her husband has run for president! I read an interview of her where she said something like " this is the first time John's run for president...." Huh! There was that time a few election cycles ago where he was slugging away in the primaries with the rest of them. Maybe she "just forgot"???? The lady is more than a bit disconnected.

I was half listening to McGlothlin Group this morning. When they did predictions at the end, Tony Blankley said there is an indictment coming soon in the Plame affair. McGlothlin pressed him on a name and Blankley just smiled.

For all you who said:
"Wasn't Gore taller?" I said:"I heard a report a couple of weeks ago that almost every person to become President has been the tallest person."
When you are speed readers you miss somethings that are said. :-)
