We're in agreement again , Keith. Not that he looked bad in the beginning, but definitely stronger in the 2nd half.

It is what it is as stated by W over and over. 'We sincerely thought this madman could develop and use dangerous weapons or let them get in terrorist hands....not gonna' happen as my dad used to say.'

Answers and words are important, but demeanor is everything...does he look strong and confident in his answers......

In the beginning, he was a little uneasy, but after he warmed up, his demeanor was great. I now see that the comment that he "took over the interview" is accurate.

John Kerry is despicable

I know he likes debates, but Kerry doesn't really seem to have a very sharp mind.

His greatest strengths are his ability to twist the truth and twist what his opponents say.

He is about as strong in depicting reality as a funhouse mirror is.

George looks like Arnold Palmer in that picture, explaining that the golf course was a tough one, and a bogey or two was not an unexpected happening.

John Edwards is also lying about him not getting the same intelligence as President Bush.

"I don't think America can stand by and hope for the best from a madman."

Russert now trying again to make it look like Tenet's words were twisted by the President.

Anything in your chart about inheriting a recession, corporate scandals that were allowed to fester during the previous administration, or that other little detail, SEPTEMBER 11, 2001.

By ingoring the realities of the world in which we all live, you remove all credibility from your position.

Bury him/her with reason.

Peach has done a suberb job of remaining rational and replying to individual posters on the merits (or lack of merit) in specific posts. Peach quotes the poster she is addressing specifically and responds to specific charges with specific rebuttals. I want to commend Peach for that. I'm also very greatful for Peach's transmission of the Sunday Morning talk shows. Thank you, Peach, for your great example!

"Yet another sign this was a good interview...if it was disastrous they would not have preempted Meet the Press."

great point! Thanks.

It drives me nuts--sometimes they show MTP at 10, and sometimes they don't.

Well, I'm glad it was a great interview... :)

Freepers would ask Kerry that question but we know the press won't.

I never seen them so direct with their questioning. They are really out to get him.

yes, we all know that had another attack happened, and the Al Qaida people had used, say, anthrax, supplied by Hussein, the same people would ask why the President was decisive in using his force to remove Saddam.

Folks, it's ok. He keeps saying that the political season has begun. He knows what he is doing. He is a thoroughbred. You don't start your finishing kick in February.

He is looking forward to BEING PRESIDENT for now, and making his case for re-election to the people most directly after the convention. It's the right way to do things. I think the biggest reason HE, not his advisors, chose to speak now was for the families of the fallen...so they would know why their loved ones were called to this task.

MTP airing right now. President Bush addresses the first of the WMD questions and he got animated toward the end of his answer. I notice he had to say to Tim "let me finish", and he did not say that angrily, more like "just a minute".....Evidently as President Bush was explaining the actual content of what Kay has said Russert was not listening.

I see that is confirmed as Russert begins the repetitive questioning and is not accepting anything President Bush says.
