RE AWOL Charge:

Bush: I've heard it for years, I served my time and proudly so.

I wouldn't have been honorably discharged if there wasn't verification of my time and service. I left 8 months before my term expired because I went to Harvard Business School.

Russert: Re files

Bush: My files have been opened for years. Everything is open for review re the AWOL charge. It's politics. I'm used to it. What I don't like is when people say serving in the Guard isn't true service.

Kiran Chetry was good at countering Jullian's adoration of Kerry earlier this morning.

Russert is trying to out do Chris Matthews on redundancy.

Reminds me of the adage: Repeat something enough times and people begin to believe it as the truth [even if it is an outright lie].

I wonder why Russert can't find Bush's guard papers when we have them on FreeRepublic? I suppose they didn't look for them?

It's the vocabulary of third graders...Or dictators.

Why do you think we keep saying, "Let 'em keep right on talking."

Russert: Did you support the war in Vietnam?

Bush: I did support the goverment and would have gone had my unit been called.

The thing bothering me looking back is that it was a political war. Goes on that point a little more.

Answers and words are important, but demeanor is everything...does he look strong and confident in his answers......

I heard Mark Steyn say on Hugh Hewitt this week

I didn't know he did any broadcast media. I wish he would do more, I love his writing.

I was just going by remarks here about Bush not giving in to Russert's repetitious attack questions........haven't gotten the program yet to assess for myself.

Russert showing chart re jobs and deficit.

My words: IF Bush hasn't been prepped to the fact that although 2.2 million jobs have been lost but 1.9 million new jobs have been made, I will scream.

Guess I'm screaming because he's not hitting on that essential fact.

The Democrat mantra that 2.2 million jobs has got to be stopped in its tracks.

Rush had an excellent article by legitimate Wall Street publications and numbers that the job loss is not NEARLY WHAT THE DEMOCRATS HAVE SAID IT IS.

MTP; Economy, why rehire you.

GWB; market declined in 2000, recession started upon my arrival....attacks affected economy...corporate scandals affected confidence of economy...then Iraq....
