I hate any liberal who tries to make GW out to be a liar. He's one of the best Presidents we've had since Reagan. He's a man's man. He's honest and is a straight shooter. His military loves him and trusts him. I love him and trust him. Truth is truth and alot of liberals want to bend the truth, so that's why they hate him. I want a President who says what he means and means what he says. You don't assume a madman will behave. I guess the liberals have already forgotten how those desperate souls jumped to their deaths instead of being burned to death, but we never will. Go GW !!

I have never seen an interview of someone less sure of themselves than during that first 30 minutes.

Then your assessment is plainly off the mark. There is absolutely no basis for this comment compared to the reality of the inquisition, which President Bush most ably handled.

Perhaps you can provide a quote to buttress you conclusion? We who transcribed it as we watched posted what he said that supports our observations that he did a great job while being interrogated as if he were on the witness stand.

And IIRC, there was a pledging ceremony at Yale for a frat where Bush was able to name 50 guys and was one of the very few(if not the only one)who could remember the names so if he'd met Kerry, he would've remembered it.

There's a brave volunteer for the Stasi!

Are we to that level of lockdown, or are we to follow Mr. Reagan's advice and "Tear down that wall!

I was just implying that the President is not panicking, and if it goes on a little longer, he won't be frenetic about dealing with this. His PRIORITY is America's security.

"Tim Russert was born in 1950 so was a member of the last birth year for the draft lottery."

Minor point, but I believe that 1950 was the first year of the lottery. And not until mid-year.

I was born in early in 1950, had my physical when I was 18 and one-half, and almost like clockwork, received my "Greeting" (not Greetings, by the way) letter at just over 19 years to report in June 1969. I received no "Lottery" number.

Anyone who has read the former's book will tell you the latter is definitely more conservative.

Oh, I'm hoping it is Wilson and Plame, themselves. I have no reason to think it is anyone in the WH or VP's office (since that was trumped up Wilson spin that has long since been debunked), and Blankely smiling indicates my latter thought is probably right---no one who is loyal to Bush.

I can't really hate them. I'd much rather go after them. I chase them down on other boards daily making them contradict themselves and reveal themselves as the true socialists they are.
It's really not that hard. When they spout off with, "Cheney is a criminal," I shoot back with, "What crime has he been convicted of?" When they screech, "This war was all about oil," I nail them with, "The only oil about it was stopping Saddam selling oil to the antiwar nations and groups."
They make it so easy. I'd love to take over for Hannity for a week....

LOL! Hadn't thought of it like that.

But seriously, I don't want Bush not to be reelected. That's just a horrid thought, I don't want a President Botox. But everyone, and I mean everyone, seems to jump to that erroneous conclusion.

Do you really think the President has no one in his administration that disagrees on his amnesty plan or his over-spending track record or some other issue?

Those that may disagree with the President on this or that issue surely do not want him defeated. Neither do I.

"I worry more about Evan Bayh as V.P. nominee.

Yes, very "attractive" as a choice ;) "

Pull one or two midwest states (IA, MN, WI, MI, OH, etc) and it could make a difference.

I'm usually cringing when Bush is not reading from a teleprompter. He's appallingly inarticulate.

No he's not...

Yes, he's referring to Wilson. Sorry I was too lazy to look it up for you myself.

Note the next paragraphs after the excerpt you posted:

Because this report, in our view, did not resolve whether Iraq was or was not seeking uranium from abroad, it was given a normal and wide distribution, but we did not brief it to the President, Vice-President or other senior Administration officials. We also had to consider that the former Nigerien officials knew that what they were saying would reach the U.S. government and that this might have influenced what they said.

In the fall of 2002, my Deputy and I briefed hundreds of members of Congress on Iraq. We did not brief the uranium acquisition story.

~SNIP~

Notice number one that the President, VP and WH were NOT briefed about Wilson's sojourn.

Number two: Note Congress was not briefed, either. So when you hear about how they voted in the fall based on faulty intelligence and they insinuate this uranium story was part of it, they are LYING. (The dems, of course)

**Do you really think the President has no one in his administration that disagrees on his amnesty plan or his over-spending track record or some other issue?**

I imagine that probably every official in the White House disagrees with the President on at least one issue. I certainly don't agree with him on everything. But I do remember that there will never be anyone with whom I can agree on everything.

well then what's your beef with the way he talks? Everyone is different. What's wrong with that? I think the fact that he doesn't talk like a Haughty French-looking RAT is part of his appeal to the people. He's normal.

If you have arguements with his policy then fine let's debate. I don't agree 100% with everything he's done either. But if the only thing you have to fault the man on is that he tends to stutter a little, then you have nothing to argue or criticize at all.
