GRAMMYS 'RE-INVITE' BOSOM PALS----contact CBS-TV http://www.cbs.com/
NY POST ^ | Feb 8, 2004 | ALY SUJO

Those boobs Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake could be back on the air tonight . . . if they make nice.

The two culprits in the Super Bowl breast imbroglio have been invited to return to the Grammy Awards ceremony tonight, Fox News reported yesterday.

The only proviso is that the singers apologize on screen for their half-time slip-up last Sunday.

The former *NSYNC star tore off half of Jackson's black leather bustier and exposed her right breast while they sang a duet during the halftime show a week ago.

Neither the Grammy production company nor CBS would comment on the report. Representatives for Jackson and Timberlake did not return calls for comment.

But if Jackson and Timberlake accept, they are not expected to appear together.

Timberlake is reportedly furious with Jackson, claiming she set him up for a publicity stunt.

Janet's boyfriend, producer Jermaine Dupri, resigned Friday from the Atlanta chapter of NARAS, the Grammy group, to protest Jackson's expulsion from the Grammy show.

"We want Janet and Justin on the show," Fox quoted a Grammy insider as saying.

CBS, which is airing the program, was said to be reluctant to put Jackson back on the air.

It's the co-opting of audiences for personal profit as Jackass and Dimmerlake did.

The stunt was designed to impose someone's views on 90 million people - the exact thing the left detests. As with the halftime show, I'll have to read up on what happened at the Grammys, if I decide to, because I'll be missing both. There isn't anything on either that I'm interested in watching.

Uh, oh. Does that mean I'm getting old - or is the music industry suckin' real bad right now?

Problem is that there are some here in the music and entertainment industry who are almost required to watch. They have my sorrow. I'm not going to watch it.

Bravo FReepers. The pressure placed on CBS is working....Janet Jackson has been ditched from the Grammys according to the latest Fox News.

Dimmerlake is still scheduled.

Now is the time to put more pressure on CBS. Tell CBS-TV that audiences don't like to be used, to be manipulated by depraved career-obsessed entertainers with CD's to sell, who expose themselves on primetime to hype their sorry careers......and then lie about it. This is not about "exposing just one breast." It's the co-opting of audiences for personal profit as Jackson and Dimmerlake did. We are tired of obsessed, success-driven entertainers, so depraved, they would do anything to boost their careers. If Jackass and Dumberlake thought fornicating a dog at half time would sell CDs, they'd do it in a nanosecond. If CBS and the rest of the brain-dead Hollywarped types continue to defend Jackson and Dimmerlake's lies, we shall take further action.

The best way to tell CBS you don't care for what they are doing is NOT to watch the show. I'm not going to watch it and I usually like the Grammy's. OF course you all know that CBS will be rewarded because it will be the biggest grammy ratings getter...EVER. Watch and see.

Oh please. CBS will issue faked ratings in order to cut its conscience to fit the halftime boob peel.

Most of all, CBS wants to stick it to the millions of families that were outraged by the boob show.

This duplicitous scenario is nothing new for the depraved nets who live and die by the ratings.

Yes, and the networks ALWAYS have the ability to "FAKE" the ratings. Give me a break. All I said is that if people were really outraged they should not watch the Grammy's. My prediction is that they will.

Cultural Toxin Alert!:

By Roger Friedman

EXCLUSIVE: Janet Rejects CBS Offer

Janet Jackson has decided not to accept the CBS offer to appear on tonight's Grammy show. The network said it would allow her to present a tribute to Luther Vandross if Jackson apologized for her appearance on last Sunday's Super Bowl half-time show.

Jackson, after much thought, decided she'd said she was sorry enough already and declined to be on the show. Patti Labelle will appear in her place.

I am told Janet was advised by her brother Michael Jackson "to stop apologizing already."

I trace the beginning of the soft core porno bing by Hollywood to this HYPED film. Brittany Spears was the template.

I don't need Janet or Justin to apologize again on air. Their previous apologies were insincere and insulting, and there's no reason to think they'll be any different this time around. If CBS was really offended by their act, they would have kicked them off the Grammies and kept them both off.

That being said, I'm tired of people saying the most effective way of protesting garbage like this is not watching it. Unless you are a Nielsen family, CBS will never notice if you're not watching. If you want to protest this, call/email write CBS to tell them why you're not watching the Grammies; that's much more effective.

""I don't need Janet or Justin to apologize again on air.

They have already both lied. This is yet more of the same cultural sewage. It is no longer whether or not I stay clear of it. There are social costs and as a culture we are all affected directly or indirectly.

Unless and of course you believe in social Darwinism and have enough $$ to hide behind a gated community, then we are all vested in making sure Our Culture does not become more toxic.

#27..YAY!..Good news.
I'll not be watching...(actuallly I don't usually watch the Grammys)..but I for sure, hope their ratings tank tonight, in spite of everyone else thinking the ratings will go through the roof.

Please let the ratings tank!

Done ! My note to them:

After the stunt that Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake pulled last week in the Superbowl halftime, I would think you would rescind the invitation to the Grammys. I would strongly urge you to do so.

Timberlake and Jackson shamed themselved by planning and carrying out that breast exposure incident on world wide television. All those children were watching, and all their parents were left having to find a way to explain such a low life act as that.

Please, do NOT permit Jackson and Timberlake on tonight's Grammy's.

Also, ban them from all future CBS shows. It's time these wild and crazy perverts learn there are consequences for their perversion !

Sincerely,

Sure, keep ticking off the people you want to sell your stuff to. Sure worked for your brother, didn't it? What a collection of degenerate boneheads.
