This is all claptrap designed to confuse the mental midgets into believing the sky is falling. If this was August and reflected registered voters it might rate a mention or discussion!

A Newsweek poll ... first, that should be grounds for dismissing the poll as pure liberal meaningless bunk. Secondly the election isn't 'till November ... any polls at this point are worthless.

According to this poll, Hillary came in first place as what Americans think is the ideal image of what the First Lady should be (she received 30%). Laura and Barbara Bush came in second with 20%. This pretty much sums up with worth of this poll.

According to the excerpted article, "For this Newsweek poll, Princeton Survey Research Associates interviewed
1,004 adults aged 18 and older on February 5-6, 2004."
In other words, this poll is worthless because it includes people who don't even vote. A poll of registered voters would be more realistic, and a poll of likely voters would be even more realistic. Also, most reputable political posters don't poll on Friday or Saturday. More specifically, it is well known that any poll that includes people don't vote, and any poll that is taken on a Friday or Saturday, is likely to be skewered towards Democrats.
Incidentally, the CNN poll last week that showed Kerry with a slight lead was, if I remember correctly, conducted partly on a Saturdady.
Compare, e.g. the Fox News poll of registered voters, taken of 900 registered voters on Feb. 4 and 5 and showing Bush with a slight lead over Kerry and a job approval rating of 53% This poll is probably a more accurate reflection of where the race actually is.
