Sometimes it is better to remain silent and let people wonder if you are stupid, rather than open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Amen. Some of these are so stupid that its not even fun anymore.

No, the dogs require a master to fed them and train them. They would protect live stock on a farm or range if their masters presence was frequent. But the elk and deer are on thier own unless the elk and deer decided to throw in with the sheep and horses that were under the protection of the dogs. Not likely but you would be surprised how smart wild animals can be.

"But you would rather have that, than to fight for freedom."

What arrogance! How on earth do you know what I want? You are not fighting for freedom Delphinium, you are fighting for the right to kill. That is nothing to be proud of.

You like to ask questions, but never answer them. You didn't say if you are a member of the NRA. Are you?

And you have yet to produce an article from National Reiview or the Washington Times saying that the grey wolf is not indigenous to the Rocky Mountains. Nor have you provided any evidence that wolves kill everything in sight. Can you admit that you were engaging in hyperbole?

Most farmers and rangers could solve their wolf problem by getting dogs to protect their live stock. Dogs have been doing exactly that with success for thousands of years. Dogs are mans best friend, let them to their job, they are good at it. Now could an mega range with thousands of miles of GOVERMENT OWNED range that just let the live stock run wild use dogs! Nope dogs require a master and attention. But a smaller then mega farmer or range could.

That's a great suggestion. I love dogs. And dogs, of course, are domesticated wolves :-) The dogs you have been talking about are beautiful. Dogs are loyal and willing to work. I was touched hearing about the dogs at Ground Zero, after 9/11. They were looking and looking for survivors -- burning their paws sometimes -- and they got discouraged when they didn't find anyone.

Well maybe the time has come and gone for people to "capitalize" on government property.

thanks, Ms. Cleo...forgot that you were all-knowing! Also nice to live in a wanna-be fantasy world, hey "Jack Ryan CIA".

Still waiting for your genius to tell all of us anti-wolf scribes what cities we live in.

"the quote is "It is better to remain silent and be thought of as a fool then to open YOUR mouth and remove all doubt."

So, it's obvious you have heard that quote many times...gee, I never would've guessed.

Near this spot
Are deposited the Remains of one
Who possessed Beauty without Vanity,
Strength without Insolence,
Courage without Ferocity,
And all the Virtues of Man without his Vices.
This Praise, which would be unmeaning Flattery
If inscribed over human ashes,
Is but a just tribute to the Memory of
BOATSWAIN, a Dog,
Who was born at Newfoundland, May, 1803,
And died at Newstead Abbey, Nov. 18, 1808."

"These guys make it up as they go don't they. I don't know why you waste your time arguing with inferior life forms. ;-)"

LOL -- I wonder that too. I keep seeing a spark of something good in them and think - maybe there's hope -- but then they turn and resort to their liberal, attack dog (wolf),hate-anyone-who-doesn't-think-just-like-them ways :-)

It is so nice to read your posts and remember what sane, good and decent people sound like. And I remember your caution to me that they just don't know any better. I'm going to try and get some info from the enemy :-)(Fish and Wildlife) and see if a true and accurate picture emerges.

It's too bad that these folks are so invested in their hatred that they can't afford to tell themselves the truth.

It's always good to actually read the posts. Mr Ryan didn't say you lived in the city. He said you *should* live in the city.

But then, the city has its dangers too.

How on earth do you know what I want?

You have stated many, many times on FR that you hate anything extreme, or radical including my extreme belief in Life, Liberty, and Property. Fighting is extreme sunsong, and it takes someone who extremely cares about it to fight for it.

You are not fighting for freedom Delphinium, you are fighting for the right to kill. That is nothing to be proud of.

Well, I consider the many hours I work getting men elected to office,to be fighting for freedom. I do it in the political realm now because I am not ready to take up arms against my own government the way that Samuel Adams, and other extremests did.

I also spend hours on the issue of Life for unborn humans.

Do you care about that issue as much as you do animal rights?

You didn't say if you are a member of the NRA.

Yes we are , and of Gun Owners of America. Some call that radical? I am surprised that you would identify with such groups.

But you didn't agree with an article from them did you.

I have not yet found the article I remember reading in the Washington Times, but if I run across it I will submit it to you. And as far as presenting evidence that wolves kill about everything? I have presented so much evidence and you simply want to argue.

You really must believe that wolves have more rights than humans? I just can't figure out what attracts you to FR, maybe arguing?

If one respects life not just money then one would understand that bears, lions and wolves have the right to exist too. I completely understand the desire to protect live stock from predators. And there are ways to do that without exterminating the presators. But doing so means spending time with living creatures, not just writing a check or having a good ole time shooting things up. So I don't have much hope that the millionare ranchers will give it a try.

Just wondering?

Are you as concerned about the right for a human to live as you are wolves?

In my experience most animal rights people are pro-choice.

"Do yourselves a favor and stay in the city because you people can't hack it."

Thanks for the exact quote. Can you understand that the phrase "stay in the city" can mean "live in the city"? In other words, live in the city because you are so afraid of wolves etc.

Did you ever make up your mind if you think that Nature can or cannot balance things out?
