Most farmers and rangers could solve their wolf problem by getting dogs to protect their live stock. Dogs have been doing exactly that with success for thousands of years. Dogs are mans best friend, let them to their job, they are good at it. Now could an mega range with thousands of miles of GOVERMENT OWNED range that just let the live stock run wild use dogs! Nope dogs require a master and attention. But a smaller then mega farmer or range could.

And dogs, of course, are domesticated wolves :-) The dogs you have been talking about are beautiful. Dogs are loyal and willing to work. I was touched hearing about the dogs at Ground Zero, after 9/11. They were looking and looking for survivors -- burning their paws sometimes -- and they got discouraged when they didn't find anyone.

Well maybe the time has come and gone for people to "capitalize" on government property.
