If one respects life not just money then one would understand that bears, lions and wolves have the right to exist too. I completely understand the desire to protect live stock from predators. And there are ways to do that without exterminating the presators. But doing so means spending time with living creatures, not just writing a check or having a good ole time shooting things up. So I don't have much hope that the millionare ranchers will give it a try.

Animals enhance life for humans, I think. They don't take away. They give us something that speaks to our Soul. It's hard to articulate it. But I'm sure you know what I mean.

That's a good point. The posters here seem to revel in the idea of "shooting things up" when, of course, they are other ways. I am not in any way against self-defence and I would kill to save a life, including my dogs life or someone else's dogs life. But that's not what I'm hearing from the posters here. They want to exterminate species. They want to play God. They want to control public lands. And if you don't agree with that -- they are going call you anything from a communist to "stupid" to someone who just doesn't really love freedom like they do :-)

It's very hard for some people to grasp the concept that there are others with different views than they have and that that's ok.

Most ranchers aren't millionaires They work harder than most men alive just to stay on the land that they love.

It is my love of the natural wild places, and the wildlife that is there, where my family have lived and eked out a living from the land since 1850 that causes me to want these wolves controlled.

If it was money that drives us we would have been gone 100 years ago.

It is not about wolves. It is about clearing 18 million acres in the west of all signs of human habitation. It is called the Wildlands Project!.
