LONGVIEW, Texas - A Texas woman has struck oil or maybe it struck her.
Leila LeTourneau returned from work late Monday to find crude oil covering her homes floors and spilling from the toilets, bathtub and sinks.
Experts have told her the oil kind of burped up.

Um, excuse my ignorance, but shouldn't a saltwater line be bubbling up with used saltwater and not oil? What's the oil from and where exactly is it being disposed?

You know there were a few X-files episodes about stuff like this. I'd move if I were her.
Why? It will only follow her. ;-)

"I paid for two years for sewer services that I didn't get," she said. "I got chemicals and gases. My house has actually been a vent ... for that pipeline for two years." She sounds all lawyered up.

The salt water is coming for a seperation unit use to seperate the oil from the salt water when the crude is extracted from the earth. The salt water is then pumped back into a salt water disposal well, sometimes an old abandoned well that has quit producing.... Apparently there was a malfunction at the seperation unit and oil was included in the salt water line.... just guessing on the malfunction part...

If she is a part of the LeTourneau family from that area she most likely has some or access to the best if needed.......

I gotta tell you, King, that it's no use flushing your toilets and hoping to strike oil. The only oil found in Georgia is from the other Georgia in the former Soviet Union.:)
And BTW, it's no joke that the huge oil fields found on the Waggoner Ranch near the Red River in Texas, were found when drilling water wells for cattle. And yes, the Waggoners were disappointed to strike that nasty oil instead.

I don't think they would just furnish a "clean up" but a whole new house and furnishing, clothing and etc... Not just the city but the oil company also!
