Border Patrol finds man wanted for sexual offenses
BY BILL HESS
Sierra Vista Herald/Review
DOUGLAS, ARIZONA - An illegal immigrant from El Salvador who was deported in August 1999 and sought for sexual offenses in California was apprehended after he once again illegally entered the United States, a U.S. Border Patrol spokesman said this morning.
Victor Manual Grande, 42, was taken into custody. He entered the country around 11:30 a.m. Thursday about three miles east of the Douglas Port of Entry, said Andy Adame, a spokesman for the agency's Tucson Sector.
While processing Grande, his fingerprints were put through the Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System, something that is done with all illegal immigrants, and an outstanding arrest warrant from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department came back, Adame said.
Grande's criminal record indicates he had several arrests for sexual offenses as far back as 1989.
Cochise County Jail Commander Ron Hager said Grande is being held on a $50,000 bond pending extradition to California where he faces a charge of allegedly performing a lewd act with a child under the age of 14.
There also is an immigration hold on the accused man, Hager said.
Adame said Grande will be deported again after officials from Los Angeles County are finished dealing with him.

Does the five year statue of limitations apply for illegal aliens? Will it apply if illegals are given amnesty?

I witness on a daily basis fear of illegal aliens. It is getting to the point that I have friends that have large fences and dogs to protect themselves as well as other security measures. My son's friend was carjacked and almost killed last year. When I went Bow hunting this year the woods where I went were covered with trash and human waste. These people are ruining our way of life. And now this story illustrates that they are making fools of us by using the border to their advantage. We have no extradition treaty with Mexico so it is a place to hide for 5 years until the statute of limitations has expired.

Does the five-year statue of limitations apply for illegal aliens? No, once formally deported there is no statute of limitations. However, they must wait 10 years to reapply for admission, which they never do anyway.
Will it apply if illegals are given amnesty?
Under any amnesty or guest worker program a criminal history check is conducted. Most crimes are considered CIMT (crime involving moral turpitude) which renders the alien ineligible to receive benefits.
If the alien was never convicted of a crime and only deported by INS he could potentially take advantage of an amnesty or guest worker program depending on the specific language of the legislation.

What? Bond is offered on an illegal alien sex-offender? He should not be allowed bond, and as a non-citizen, he should not have his council paid for either.
Best thing would be to send him directly to prison - let vicente fox buy him out if he wants him back!

Bump.
But it looks like our Border Patrol caught him, and no snafus. Hats off to our Border Patrol. Too bad there's not an electrified fence.

I heard about the increased BP activity around Buffalo Soldier Trail and Cherokee. I figured it was another incursion of a mass group of illegals onto the Fort Huachuca military installation again. At least they actually went after them this time. I wonder how many got away and are traipsing around sensitive facilities on the base right now? How can we possibly be serious about enacting anti-terrorist measures on this military installation if hungry 3rd world illiterates can walk on any time of the day or night? That is just a microcosm of our entire border problem. Lock this base down! Lock the borders down!

Great. Here's another scumbag we can support for a half dozen years before shipping him back. Well, maybe not. A few years (if he lasts that long) in the "Gray-Bar Motel" with the general population knowing that he likes "little-girls" and his whole attitude will be changed.
