[history]
Growing frustration over President Bush's immigration plan and lack of fiscal discipline came to a head behind closed doors at last weekend's Republican retreat in Philadelphia.
House lawmakers, stunned by the intensity of their constituents' displeasure at some of Mr. Bush's key domestic policies, gave his political strategist Karl Rove an earful behind closed doors.

I think you have to grant an exemption to the Lose One for the Gipper crowd. The Gipper would slap them up side the head.

Who? If people want to run with the big dogs they can't do it hiding under the porch.

Yes, but who is more destructive to Bush's victory. People who are looking for info, looking for a rational debate and get flamed ,only to leave the debate even more sure of their decision they do not see eye to eye with the Republicans.
Or the person who runs them off by saying Republicans do need or want their vote anyway?
I have not read anywhere that the owners have said run off all people who are a bit confused.( who are the people I am talking about)

Or the person who runs them off by saying Republicans do need or want their vote anyway? Since you are talking about me I will respond. In simple terms the GOP has NOT HAD THEIR VOTE FOR 15YEARS. It is irrefutable and it makes no sense to lose votes at a 2 to 1 ratio in the off chance they will change their ways.

sweet dreams then.

Personally, I don't believe I've ever seen anyone who was on the fence - someone sincerely looking for information regarding the upcoming election - get "flamed". Then again, I have run into very few of the "confused" people you claim are here on FR. Who are you referring to?

This thread is about a bunch of craven cowards that are saying Bush made them write all of this "liberal" legislation and he made them pass it. This thread is about 1/3 of the government blaming another third of not protecting them against themselves.

Do you know who I voted for in any election ? Because you are talking about people like me. Your numbers are bogus.
You will push more people third party than I will. I can guarantee that. I am talking people out of third party.
Who is it then that will help President Bush get reelected? I care about their votes, even if you don't. I bet you any amount of money the campaign team want their votes as well.
As a matter of fact I am 100% sure. I heard them say it with my own ears at the workshop for grassroots organization.
See ,you can throw numbers like that around when you have proof.

Who is it then that will help President Bush get reelected? . The GOP voters and independents. You are still trying to get votes from an empty bucket. This damned election is too important to spend one minute trying to woo a bunch of unappeasable knuckleheads. It just is not worth it.

I'm not big on words but I tend to agree with Diva Betsy Ross. If you ask questions or try to talk to some and you don't live up to their standards, they insult you. It's especially prevalent the last few months. JMO

To: Texasforever
I'm not saying you insulted anyone and that's why I have bothered to interject. My reference was to many of the other regular posters on these threads. I am well educated, run my own business and have adult children. I'm simply stating that in the current atmosphere, unless you are a computer whiz (which I am not) and have a glib tongue, you are sluffed off or insulted.
I've voted Republican since Gerald Ford but I seriously question this quantum leap to the left by Republican administration that I supported with my vote, my time and my money only to be told I'm "irrelevant" for questioning what the heck is going on.
