QUITE SO.
And, it struck me . . . as I read your post . . .
Billdo's WATCH.
That was part of the problem--he wasn't watchING.
He was tooooooo, far toooooooooo interested in being
WATCHED!
He hardly even watched where he put his . . .
as long as there was a lovely handy.
He certainly didn't watch out for our nation's security.
He sabotaged it virtually at every chance and some chances he created.

Drive-By Shooting at Customs Building
The Associated Press
Saturday, February 7, 2004; 12:55 AM
CORNWALL, Ontario - A U.S.-Canada border crossing was shut down Friday after a drive-by shooting near a Canadian customs building.
Eight employees were in the building at the time of the shooting, but no one was injured, a customs official told the Cornwall Standard-Freeholder, a local newspaper.
The incident occurred around 6 p.m. on Cornwall Island, a Canadian island in the St. Lawrence River north of the New York state border.
Traffic on both sides of the Seaway International Bridge linking Ontario and New York was halted immediately. The border was expected to reopen Saturday.
"It does now appear that customs was not the target," said Pierre Marquis, a spokesman for the Canadian Customs Service.
Police were looking for a suspect, described as a male in his early 20s with an assault rifle. It wasn't known if the shooter drove in from the Canadian or U.S. side.

I hate PC stuff.
Too bad a complete description of the suspect didn't come out, like was he white, black, Mexican, middle-east type, etc., long hair, short hair, mustache, black bandana, a cowboy hat, etc...
By the way, Good find. I can't find anything about this so far on the Canadian news sites.

UPDATE...
http://www.wtop.com http://www.wtop.com/index.php?nid=104&sid=166690 "Ricin Investigation Expands to Tennessee"
Updated: Friday, Feb. 6, 2004 - 4:01 PM
By CURT ANDERSON
Associated Press Writer
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "WASHINGTON (AP) - The ricin investigation has expanded to Tennessee and trucker radio shows, but investigators still had no clues about the origin of the poison found in a Senate office, officials said Friday.
Searches of Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist's six offices in his home state, plus those in the Capitol complex, were completed Thursday. Investigators have not found the letter or package the ricin may have spilled from, and no new traces of ricin have been discovered, said FBI spokeswoman Debra Weierman.
All of Frist's offices are now reopened."

I totally agree with you about Russia. I think Putin continually talks out of both sides of his mouth. He is making deals behind the scenes that benefit him. He is evil and sneaky.

12:57 PM CST on Friday, February 6, 2004
By BRETT SHIPP / WFAA-TV
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Sources tell News 8 that some state workers in North Texas are compromising national security by illegally selling real driver's licenses to anyone who'll pay.
Billions of federal dollars are now being invested in post-9/11 national security, yet it's still possible to illegally obtain a real driver's license in North Texas from workers at the Department of Public Safety.
It's especially disturbing news in light of the fact that several of the terrorist hijackers of 9/11 got their driver's licenses the same way. Passenger checkpoints at airports are all but impassible without a government-issued picture ID most often a driver's license. That alone makes such licenses very valuable.
According to a source who asked to remain anonymous, valid Texas driver's licenses containing false information are for sale throughout North Texas.
"The price range, as we speak, is between $850 to $3,000, or up to $4,200," the source said."

You know, ya' gotta' have a background check and a polygraph to be a cop. Why on earth should you be able to have access to this type of info as a government employee and not be required to do the same?

All this talk of Pakistan's nuclear black market really has me worried. I have a feeling that the repercussions from this are huge, and that we have only seen the tip of the iceberg so far.

A background check and a polygraph for DMV employees sense -- common sense.
