Although Lincoln will always have that special place in my heart as the greatest President or possibly the greatest American who ever lived, Ronald Reagan isn't far behind him.

Together with this President, Reagan and Lincoln for a triumverate with whom I set the best of any country's political leadership.

We should create a button with pictures of Lincoln, Reagan, and G.W.

Best wishes and much love to The Gipper. Ronald Reagan and I both have February birthdays and I have always felt a special affinity for this man. May he be peaceful at this time of his life and hopefully enjoy lots of jellybeans and cake.

As weird as it may seem, I almost wish I'd retired when he was CINC so his signature would be on my Certificate of Appreciation.

But then again, I would have missed all of those great duty stations, and I'd have had to enter the civilian job market without a degree. Although I would have been much younger. Ah hell!

I'm happy where I'm at in my life and career. And he was still my favorite president since I've been alive.

Happy Birthday Mr. President!

"We've done our part. And as I walk off into the city streets, a final word to the men and women of the Reagan revolution, the men and women across America who for 8 years did the work that brought America back. My friends: We did it. We weren't just marking time. We made a difference. We made the city stronger, we made the city freer, and we left her in good hands. All in all, not bad, not bad at all. And so, goodbye, God bless you, and God bless the United States of America."
*Janurary 20, 1989 Farewell Address

Thank you President Reagan and Nancy too, you both made our country a better place to live.

Happy Birthday and God Bless you both.

You had to be around at the time to appreciate the impact of his election in restoring the spirit of America. A truly great leader. How many of us secretly wish there was some miraculous way he could return to the world and give us his thoughts on what is happening now?

I appreciated and respected Reagan and believe that he brought a calming peace to this nation. I see the same characteristics with our current president, which is why I am working so hard to keep him in office.

"You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children's children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done."

The "Time for Choosing" speech was delivered on national TV just a few days before the 1964 election. It was the most moving speech this (16 year old) had ever heard and it turned me on to conservative politics.

God Blees You Ronnie, my hero, on your 93rd birthday!!

How cool! My four year old's son is February 5 -- one day before Reagan's birthday. My one year old (my post 9/11 baby)son's birthday is July 5 -- one day before George W. Bush's birthday.
