Rachel's parents have misrepresented themselves and her.

They love to portray Rachel as an innocent, idealistic young woman who became an activist on her own. They deliberately hide the fact that they have been activists, too.

Parents Seek Probe in Activist's Death, Seattle Times ^ | 03-19-03 | florangela davila

Craig and Cindy Corrie spent yesterday in Washington, D.C., demanding lawmakers begin a U.S.-led investigation into the death of their youngest daughter, Rachel. It's a shift for them to take up a cause, Craig Corrie said. It was Rachel who was always so socially and politically conscious. She was the family's activist.

It's not a shift for Rachel's parents to take up a cause, as you can see from an article that came out at about the time of her death... Israel Military Kills Peace ActivistI don't make a habit of listening to people who hide who they really are.

He also noted that the five Palestinian homes where they stayed have since been demolished.

I wish the author told us who had lived in those houses.

She was a victim of the escalating violence of the Israeli state against Palestinians and groups supporting Palestinian rights, including the ISM, of which she was a member of her own stupidity.

Rachel’s father Craig said that her accounts were somewhat unbelievable until he and his wife Cindy visited the Gaza Strip for themselves. As they traveled over Gaza meeting Palestinian families that Rachel had worked with, Craig stated that he, his wife, and the Palestinians who helped them were harassed and threatened by the Israeli military. He also noted that the five Palestinian homes where they stayed have since been demolished.

They are aiding, abetting, and staying with terrorists. Treat them as terrorists.

When you jump in the middle of a hornet's nest, don't be surprised when you get stung. .50 cal to the face ! That had to sting. Wouldn't put it past the palis to shoot the guy and blame it on the IDF. Kind of funny how he was so eager to get into israel after getting hurt. Pali doctors aren't good enough to fix him up? lol

Rachel Corrie died because she thought rules applied to
everybody but her. Her stupid parents encouraged her foolishness and anti-semitism--and NOW want the world to
mourn their daughter --and condemn Israel--as they are
doing. Their actions ought be seen as wasteful and destructive as the actions of Barry Winchels mom --and
Matthew Shepherds Mom are-- they serve only the destruction
and corruption of everything good and True--and right in
this world. How evil can these people be?

Rachel Corrie, 23 years old, was killed while attempting to prevent the demolition of Palestinian homes in the refugee town of Rafah

Don't you just love the way they make it sounds as if Israeli bulldozer's were just randomly selecting homes to demolish?

No mention that it was suspected of being the exit point of a tunnel used to smuggle in bombs and other weapons.

Ah, little Rachel's even more useful dead than alive, isn't she? Now her parents can cash in on her spectacular demise and up their own star power indefinitely. It's a win-win situation! Martyrdom! Angst! Celebrity! Cameras!

The United States government is itself complicit in her death, having given its backing to the escalation of violence against the Palestinian people.

Sigh....Veronica, please next time post a double bagger barf warning!

What a pile of BS that statement is! The U.S. gov't DOES look into the deaths of Americnas overseas when they believe that the American in question might have been unjustly killed. Rachel Corrie was NOT murdered. Last I'd read, the bulldozer driver was unable to see her. The U.S. gov't also recognizes that pure stupidity on the part of the deceased is no reason to launch an investigation.

The question is: Did these dumb parents learn anything?

Or are they going to hold their breath and wait for sympathy from an educated public.

Holy Bulldozers, their turning blue.
