So you don't like safety. That's a nice touch. Oh, I forgot, you see that as giving up all of your personal liberties. None, of course, you can list because you haven't lost them.
Oh well, I hear they have good drugs these days for paranoia.

Alan is my role model, awesome man.

Let me make this clearer then.
I want Bush to whip Kerry's carcass all over the country.
I want Bush to give me reasons to be more confident that will happen. Supporting more liberal policies in an election year is not a wise move politically.
is that clearer?

this GOP-run Senate refuses to change the rules and force a floor vote Red herring. The obstructionist Rats have enough Senators to force a filibuster and bottle up any legislation. Do you think that your continuing to not support Bush will help to change that situation?

Been saving that one for the big finale, eh?
One issue? Why you didn't bother to respond to my inquiry about the courts?
POOF!

Thank God, Jim understands how high the stakes are and also how influential Free Republic really is. I have noticed on many occasion that the media and editorials appeared, making certain points, AFTER said points were made and information presented here, showing that FR is being read by many people, including many influential people.
Jim understands and made it clear that he will not allow the anti-Bush element hijack this forum and use it to attack President Bush, giving much needed ammunition to the Democrats to help in their attempts to defeat President Bush.

The way to move the country towards more conservatism, is to elect more Republicans, so President Bush will be less constrained -- NOT to help elect a Democrat president and lose Republican control of Congress.
Bush's judicial appointments are being filibustered by the Democrats -- if we had 60 Republican Senators, Bush could appoint the judges he wants and have them confirmed expeditiously.

The POINT, GeronL, is that the Massachusetts Supreme Court is full of liberal activist judges, and that is what we will get in the federal courts if you help get Kerry elected.
Bush has appointed mostly conservative judges, and the Senate has blocked 5 or 6 because they are minorities who are conservative. Until we get a 60 Republican senators we are stuck with those filibusters due to the stupid rules of the Senate.
There is no doubt in my mind that Kerry would appoint leftist judges. And it is quite possible that a Bush loss would lose us Senate seats as well.
So, quit all your carping about Kool-Ade drinking. This is an important election, and you are being asked for your help.

That little withholding your vote deal will make you feel better and make you feel like a real conservative. But the man in the White House will support gay marriage rather than vow to oppose it......you will have helped bring that about. His Supreme Court appointees will be approved by NARAL and will vote accordingly on abortion for a generation.....and you will have helped bring it about. There will be nobody in the White House that wants to pursue the War on Terror and innocents will pay someday....and you will have helped bring it about.
That stuff will be a lot harder to feel good about. If Kerry is elected, and you helped by withholding your vote....please don't come back and moan about the results.

Why is there a federal law limiting the purchase of batteries?
Could it be that like cold tablets they are used to make meth.
To: GeronL
I want Bush to whip Kerry's carcass all over the country. Thats reasonable, and your desire for Bush to give you more reasons to vote for him is reasonable and understandable. I sure don't mind you asking for that. But whatever the results, we can't let them get control of the executive branch back.
We have to do a much better job in the Republican primaries next time and make sure that the nominee meets what we really want. But we only have a stark choice at this moment and it is clear.

Supporting more liberal policies in an election year is not a wise move politically.First, they aren't THAT liberal. They are what the public wants and expects and as I've already pointed out, what Bush ran on in 2000.
And all Rove and Bush are looking for are 1-2% more in certain demographics. Just 2% more of the black vote will wipe Kerry out. Add that to 5% of Hispanics, 3% of Catholics, 4% of Jewish voters...it adds up pretty fast. Especially in close states. For example, New Hampshire. Bush won by 7,000 in 2000 but Nader got about 22,000. Nader isn't going to run again so Bush needs 14,000 to compete. He's going to do well among white males and married females so he can make them up. But in other places like NM or Iowa where he lost in 2000, those small percentages gives him a win in 2004. And it's all about the electoral college, not the popular vote.

The Full Faith and Credit Act is immediately drawn into play, and therefore, federal, not state, judges will decide the issue.
And the fact that the dim senators imposed their own unprecedented and perhaps unconstitutional filibuster does absolutely nothing to take away from the credit GWB deserves for his own nominees.
To: Johnny_Cipher
so?? MAKE them filibuster
