President does not appoint state courts.

and this GOP-run Senate refuses to change the rules and force a floor vote.... those are Republicans giving in to Democrats

Red herring. The obstructionist Rats have enough Senators to force a filibuster and bottle up any legislation. Do you think that your continuing to not support Bush will help to change that situation?

The POINT, GeronL, is that the Massachusetts Supreme Court is full of liberal activist judges, and that is what we will get in the federal courts if you help get Kerry elected.

Bush has appointed mostly conservative judges, and the Senate has blocked 5 or 6 because they are minorities who are conservative. Until we get a 60 Republican senators we are stuck with those filibusters due to the stupid rules of the Senate.

There is no doubt in my mind that Kerry would appoint leftist judges. And it is quite possible that a Bush loss would lose us Senate seats as well.

So, quit all your carping about Kool-Ade drinking. This is an important election, and you are being asked for your help.

The Full Faith and Credit Act is immediately drawn into play, and therefore, federal, not state, judges will decide the issue.

And the fact that the dim senators imposed their own unprecedented and perhaps unconstitutional filibuster does absolutely nothing to take away from the credit GWB deserves for his own nominees.
