Vets_Husband_and_Wife Need Our Prayers!

"My Liver Doctor is wonderful. I've had the same specialist for over 10 years.

We do an Ultra Sound and a Cat Scan once a year. It works out to be one every six months. Last week was the Cat Scan.

This morning my Liver Doctor called to say there was a Lesion on my Liver. Thankfully Art was home with me, because to be honest, this really knocked the wind out of me. I guess I had gotten used to them always being negative.

My biggest fear has been the big "CA" of the Liver. That is why we screen so often for it, because of my disease. (Hep/C that I got while serving-see FR profile).

Anyway,.. we went into the Doctors office today and have more blood work tomorrow. An Ultrasound next Wednesday.

We are both scared (I'd be lying if I didn't admit it) but we also decided to stay strong, and pray that this is BENIGN, we are asking God for that, and are giving this worry over to Him.

We would REALLY appreciate some prayers. I'm so mentally exhausted and I don't have it in me to do post this right now. So we ask for your prayers that this lesion is BENIGN. We also ask that we can be STRONG and honor our Father and KEEP THE FAITH at all times!

Don't tire yourself trying to answer every post. Try to get rest. Some exercise, like a walk, also helps with stress.

We all know how you feel about these wonderful comments and prayers. Some things don't have to be spoken or answered with minutae. That's what I love about freepers.....they know instinctively what's in each other's hearts and minds in these situations. Freepers just being here with you two folks is a statement in itself.

Don't you just hate these new-fangled monitors that get all blurry??
I don't remember the old ones doing that.

I think it's amazing and wonderful how many of us go to the Book of Isaiah for strength.
In my bad times I had many people tell me to read Psalms and Matthew for comfort.
They helped me a lot, but I discovered the depth of Isaiah late one night in a lonely hotel room eight thousand miles from home, half drunk and desparate.
When the sun peeked under the curtains, I was still reading, but I had found the strength for another day.

May the Holy Spirit abide with you and Art and give you the strength for one day at a time.
