It would be more interesting if you had used the original headline and hadn't excerpted the story.

When I look at the way I played on the field, and the things I did on the field and the way this whole thing transpired, it leads me to believe that it was more off-the-field stuff than it was on-the-field stuff." Too bad, a good player, at least at one time, making excuses for his failing.
Take responsibility for your actions.

Six fumbles in the very first game against a 4-12 team last season? Only divine intervention could have saved his job after that dismal performance.

Tom Brady threw an interception in the red zone, that allowed the other team to go ahead, in the closing minutes of the Superbowl, and he still got the MVP. So what do you expect.

"The coaches for the Rams are dumb..."
You can say that again. The reason the Rams didn't advance can be laid squarely on the shoulders of Mike Martz. Only Mike Sherman of my beloved Packers did a lousier job of coaching during the past playoffs.

A mod changed the title from the bogus, fraudulent and made up version to the original, unaltered text.

Martz has a problem with confidence for any of his QB's. The Rams had 30 secs, a 1st down, inside the 15 yard line and 2 time outs against Carolina. Instead of allowing his QB Bulger to throw a couple of strikes in the endzone, to win the game..... Martz let time run out and settled for a field goal to tie.... and ultimately lose in OT. Warner was given a raw deal. Bulger threw more interceptions than touchdown passes. Bulger was a poor clock manager, squandering time and time outs repeatedly. Having a MVP quarterback like Warner, that takes his team to 2 Super bowls and wins one, battled injurys in 2002, and then gets judged because his Offensive line can't protect him is wrong. Warners faith in God has nothing to do with his performance. But if it is a problem with the other players, then it is the other players problem, not Warners. He can back up his talk with his walk. I hope he walks to another NFL team who appreciates his talent.

I feel Warner is a genuinely good guy. But he's harming any good he hopes to
do with the rest of his life by sticking around too long after the
body and fire have gone cold.
As he has a life outside sports, you'd think he'd be one of the few who realize
it's best to go out near the top...or soon thereafter.
