LOS ANGELES -- On the heels of Janet Jackson's stunning breast-baring incident on Sunday's Super Bowl halftime show, Jackson reportedly will not appear on the CBS Grammys telecast.
"Entertainment Tonight" is reporting Jackson won't be participating in a tribute to Luther Vandross on Sunday night.
She was previously scheduled to be a part of the Grammy Awards tribute. No reason was available for her departure.
Jackson, CBS, MTV, the NFL and Justin Timberlake have all apologized for the Super Bowl's too-revealing halftime show. CBS said Tuesday it would institute a video delay system to avoid any recurrence at Sunday's Grammy Awards.
At the end of their duet Sunday, Timberlake snatched off part of Jackson's bustier on stage, revealing a breast clad only in a sun-shaped "nipple shield" to some 89 million viewers. Jackson's spokeswoman, Jennifer Holiner, said a red lace garment was supposed to remain when Timberlake tore off the outer covering.
However, questions remain about the intent of both parties involved.
Timberlake, who is nominated for five Grammys, is still scheduled to perform on Sunday's telecast.

If the red lace was supposed to remain, then why the nipple trinket? How dumb do they think we are?

Well, with the media spewing the same drivel over and over and over and... you get the picture.
If they repeat it enough, eventually all of us are suppose to believe it. Sorta like being tranquilized hypnotized. orwhatever.
Does that mean you didn't belive the Jackson 5's 4's little press conference?

Is this a gentle way of saying Jackson's a liar?

Two reasons for yanking her from the lineup come to mind right off the bat:
1) Sponsors raising cane
2) While it may be "hip" to the Hollyweird MTV crowd to pull a sneaky like that on the halftime show, the hamhanded clumsy-ox apologies were decidedly "un-hip."
That's about as "cool" and "trendy" as Winonna Ryder getting caught shoplifting.
My guess is they drop off the "A" list of their "friends" pretty rapidly.

You know that Tito and Jermaine are looking at each other right now saying, "You know, I'm GLAD nobody ever talks about us."

Janet's old news - if CBS and the Grammy's were really trying to take a stand, they'd have axed Timberdork as well. He's "hot stuff" right now, and his elimination from the show would've made heads turn. He should be axed solely for his lying about what they were doing - nice integrity.

I don't see what the fuss is about. Trash is trash but Jim Morrison pulled out his weenie in Florida, The Fugs had lyrics that were every bit and even dirtier than Jackson's, and Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention went on stage in Germany having anal sex with each other in tandem.Jackson should have learned that the three aforementioned have gone into obscurity (except Morrison but he was also talented as a poet..sometimes).

"Entertainment Tonight" is reporting Jackson won't be participating in a tribute to Luther Vandross on Sunday night. This is going to utterly ruin the moving twenty-one boob salute that the Grammys had planned for Vandross.

What cracks me up is all these...artists include a thank-you section on their CD's where they give credit to all the people who helped them get where they are. The first person they always thank is "The Lord Above" or "The Creator".
To: vetvetdoug
I think you've described next year's halftime lineup.

They'd have a harder time axing Justin since he is nominated for 5 Grammys.

I think this is sponsors and the Corporations reminding the artists who owns whom.
