A group of Cubans sails toward the Florida Straits on a modified 1959 Buick Tuesday February 3, 2004. The pilots were the same two men who tried to sail a converter 1951 Chevy flatbed truck to the U.S. last year. Nine other Cubans, including wives and children, were intercepted by the U.S Coast Guard on Tuesday Feb. 3, 2004. (AP Photo/CBS4, HO)

If that's the same bunch, they're lucky there weren't disappeared after the last time they tried this stunt. I like the cut of their jib, anway. Can we take them in?

If Ted Kennedy had one of those he would have become president.

The '59 Buick, with more horsepower and greater acceleration than a '51 Chevy pickup, stands a better chance against pursuit by the Coast Guard. However, their evasive maneuverability may not be much better, so they may have to aim for a flat-out run to Key West at full throttle.

Must be one of them old Buicks with "Fluid-Drive".

Too late. I believe that they have already sank the "boat" and sent them back.
To: Dallas59
I hope the Coast Guard didn't sink this one. It's a masterpiece!

Wonder if Castro wants them to get in? Things that make you go hmmmmm....
To: soozla
We may scoff at a '59 Buick, but in Cuba that's almost a brand new car.
