What a crock. I'm a vet, and I guarantee you that the veteran's vote will go overwhelmingly against Kerry.

We vets are just waiting, just waiting to vote for someone other than a trial lawyer and Kerry.

Yes, I cannot beleive this article. Certainly most Vietnam Vets. I find this very odd. If this article is true then all I can say is that they should be ashamed of themselves/
To: FreeFireBorderZone
Well, the vets in my family are not saying this. Hard to believe this even approaches the truth.

The only comment I will make is that EVERYONE running for President and after being elected should do more for our veterans. I hate the bad treatment they receive for putting their life on the line.
More money for vets, less money for pork projects

Apparently these Vets can't or don't read and have no earthly idea what a "Senate Voting Record" is!

Maybe these guys could line up behind Jane "I never met a VC/North Vietnamese Regular I didn't like" Fonda.

You got that right. My cousin is a Vietnam Vet and, due to legal issues, I cannot tell you what he thinks of Kerry. How any Vet could support a traitor is beyond me. He spits on the memory of every American who made the supreme sacrifice in Vietnam. The fact that a man like this is a presidential candidate speaks volumes of the cultural war in this country. If Kerry and his minions win, the USA is in trouble.

You already get disability and your retirement, that was signed into law last year by Bush and it was not Kerry's idea.

Actually I've done better under GW than I did under 8 years of Democrats.
Most Vets that I know have no love for John Kerry and his pal Hanoi Jane.

Go to the link and visit the "Sound Off" link in the article at Military.com. You hear a much different story from the Vets themselves. There is a group of Vietnam Vets looking for others from each state with an opposing view.

That's not quite true. It provides concurrent receipt only for those with a disability rating of 50% or more. That's a very small portion of the military retiree community.
And in fairness, although Bush signed it, he did fight it every step of the way, including a threat of a veto the previous year, which killed it for another year.

I want to meet all these vets who are lining up to vote for Ketchup boy. This piece is nothing but a poor excuse for liberal propaganda. Semper Fi, Kelly

Agreed. My stepdad is a Veitnam Vet and will NEVER forgive Kerry for tossing his medals. That article is a whole lot of spin.

A crock. I am a Vietnam veteran and totally opposed to Kerry. Once the truth comes out about this guy, I doubt if he will garner most of the veteran support, particularly from those who served in Vietnam and remember Kerry's activities as head of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War. Bring it on.

If they like him so much what are they poised and waiting for - why not support him in the primaries?

You are correct, plus it kicks in over a 10 year period. Well I am rated at 100% and will be 60 in September so I get a portion of that this year. We get basically about 40% of it the first year I think.
And yes you are right that Bush did fight it.

As far as veterans affairs are concerned, Bush has given the Dems. lots of amunition.
I don't understand how Bush can promote the military but neglect the veterans.
Somebody prove me wrong........please!
