...only full, equal marriage rights for gay couples rather than civil unions ...The slope just became a little more slippery.

I'm disgusted too, but think about it this way:
Polling shows 2/3 of all Americans do NOT support same-sex marriages.
Kerry voted AGAINST the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and supports FORCING states to accept homosexual "marriages" from other states!
President Bush is on the record when it comes to defending traditional marriage. He's with the American people.
The GOP will go after this like a dog with a moose thighbone.
This issue ALONE could doom Kerry, IMHO.

Why is the Massachusetts General Assembly even considering this? I haven't read the Mass. Constitution, but I have an awfully hard time believing that it gives the Judicial Court the power to order legislation to be passed. The GA should just say, "Thanks for your opinion," and go its merry way.
If the Constitution "does" give the court this power, the Feds need to step in and force a change to guarantee to the citizens of the Commonwealth a republican form of government.

The slope just became a little more slippery. It can't get any more slippery! It's been so lubed up with perversions, that it can't even take more grease.
Janet Jacko was a half-time peep show into America's soul, and it wasn't a pretty sight. Now here's this assault from the Bay/Gay State. Queen Babylon has been stripped bare.

The MA Supreme Court is ordering the Legislature to pass a law legalizing same-sex "marriage". Doesn't Governor Romney have to sign it? Would he being "mandated" to do so? Governor Romney's religious convictions dictate that he can't, in good conscience, sign it.

We are going to have start electing legislators who pointedly start ignoring courts. The ugly truth is that the Mass. legislature has every right and power to ignore this.
