The only name I HAVEN'T heard tonight is BushBot, which imo is NOT a pejorative.

Indeed, we shall see. From the piece, admittedly not from Kerry's mouth:
"But a comprehensive 1980 survey commissioned by Veterans' Administration (VA) reported that 91 percent of those who had seen combat in Vietnam were "glad they had served their country;" 80 percent disagreed with the statement that "the US took advantage of me;" and nearly two out of three would go to Vietnam again, even knowing how the war would end."
That doesn't square with Kerry's position, nor your "Lord of the Flies" characterization of it.

You're a broken record. You couldn't care less about the substance of your argument, you only want to whine about those that disagreed with you. I'm not whining about people disagreeing with me. Billybob disagreed with me more than anyone, but he was constructive and that's fine. I don't like a sudden personal attack from 7 different people for no reason.
You sound just like every single Democrat running for President. You sound like Howard Dean when he complained to Terry McAwful..."make them stop picking on me".
I'm not asking anyone to make anyone quit picking on me. I'm responding to the bullies myself.
Sad. Very sad and pitiful. Join Edwards "2nd America" and whine and claim victimhood and make him your President to fight against all those evil people out there not handing you their hard earned money so you can sit at home getting fat watching TV.
Whatever, dude. You sure are getting wound up about this. lol
Oh, the cruel world you have to live in. I'm almost brought to tears...of laughter.
Not cruel at all. I handling them fine. I'm just not going to take it, that's all.

The ones that come in and whine about us wasting our time writing about the Dem primaries for one.
I don't have a little notepad next to me, like you obviously, writing down the FR names of those that make those posts. I'm not that delusional.
Reminds me of the whiners that used to come in during our nightly Iraq War threads complaining that "I came here after a long day at work and just wanted to get the news synopsis without all this blah, blah, blah posting". My usual response being, "then use your stupid computer to go to Drudge or FoxNews.com or CNN.com etc. and READ the f'ing news and don't EXPECT us to do anything".
Those are trolls that then spend the next hours whining about what we are posting. Just after the NH numbers were in last week they came out in droves. Most were one time posters and the majority only on FR for a short time.
If you want to keep lists of people, that's your hang up, not mine. And I don't have to justify any post I make and I've already wasted enough bandwidth on you.

ANd now for John Kerry's big weakness. LOL
He polls as being in touch with the common man.
How do you think the common man is going to react when they find out that John and Teresa had Mayor Menino move a fire hydrant from in fron of their house so that Teresa and John could park their Mercedes there?
How many "common men" could have the mayor move a fire hydrant, a public safety issue, all the way to the next block?
Johnny's got some splaining to do.

Fair enough, but I heard some stories along the same lines told to me by very successful and honorable men, who I don't believe were lying. The idea of being sent out into the paddies with a significant chance of being killed, for no apparent military purpose, in a war you perceived had no end, and no sign of victory, with a prevaicating president, who seemed perfectly content to waste you for his "honor" and political need, and to avoid him facing an admission of a failed policy, when you are about 19 years old, is simply one beyond the common understanding of most. You simply do things. And I think that is a fact, and was a fairly common one.

I think you have another admirer.I appreciate people with common sense. What Kerry did to his fellow veterans is absolutely terrible and makes him dangerous.

One more before I really do go because it is one of thos ethree degree things.
Under Kerry's leadership, VVAW members mocked the uniform of United States soldiers by wearing tattered fatigues marked with pro-communist graffiti. They dishonored America by marching in demonstrations under the flag of the Viet Cong enemy.
Sen. John McCain revealed that his North Vietnamese captors had used reports of Kerry-led protests to taunt him and his fellow prisoners. Retired General George S. Patton III angrily noted that Kerrys actions had given aid and comfort to the enemy.
John McCain is kind of where we first got to be friends. I used to drive for General Patton III. Me as a chauffeur. LOL
John Kerry is no John McCain. His service was honorable and by accounts heroic. His performance after he returned home has been miserable. Like I said, he is no John McCain who I have come to admire more than when he was running against President Bush. I wish President Bush had some John McCain in him.
Oh well, that's my onslaught for tonight but I 've got more, much more. Next time we get into his voting record on taxes, spending and defense cuts.
Adios amigo.

He DIDN'T "get sent" to the paddies.
He VOLUNTEERED for Swift boat duty BEFORE those boats were assigned into close riverine combat.
In his own book, Kerry says he volunteered for swift boat duty assuming he would be off-shore for a couple of months and out.
He ONLY began protesting and complaining AFTER he was assigned in-shore duty.
Then, after three minor flesh wounds (no days off duty!) and a medal (earned after shooting a wounded VC in the back) he applied for and LEFT Vietnam on a technicality, went home as an admirals aide, and started campaigning for democrats ... while still on active duty in the Navy.
Finally, even that was too much work and Kerry left "early" from active duty.

They couldn't afford a two car garage I take it.No, they have a four car garage, they just "needed" more room.
You heard it here first when it becomes an issue for Johnny Populist.

Read the real "version" of Kerry's few weeks in Vietnam in #1993.Doesn't matter to me, he was there. That's all I need to know.
To: Robert A. Cook, PE; jwalsh07
Off topic. I wasn't talking about what Kerry did or did not. I have no idea what he did, except I have a vague impression he was an excellent and effective leader of men, and did his job while over there well. But Jwalsh07 would know the details. He apparently has made Kerry a hobby of his. And of course we should listen attentively to what he has to say. Because he will say it as honestly as he can. John doesn't spin it for me. He isn't a spin doctor.

Doesn't take a genius! Boy, it's all about you, isn't it? You really ought to get a girlfriend, or boyfriend...I don't want to be homophobic.

No.
He WASN'T an effective nor honest leader.
He was, in fact, specifically complaining up and down the chain of command .... and did not have a "leaders' reputation."
Then.
Now, after the VVAW used him to present lies to Senate about our conduct over there, and after Kerry needed his few weeks in Vietnam to campaign ... NOW he becomes a "leader" in the eyes and through the repeated comments in the press.
Read his real story.
NOT the democrats' faux sheets touting his service.
