SECOND US POISON SCARE
A second suspected case of the deadly poison ricin is being investigated in the United States.
An envelope containing a suspicious powder, addressed to the Republican National Committee and found in a Connecticut post office, is being tested.
The letter was discovered hours after a powder which initially tested positive for ricin was found in a US Senate mailroom.
Officials in Connecticut said field tests of the powder were inconclusive but all mail associated with the envelope was isolated until laboratory tests were completed.
"We are performing a battery of tests for biological and chemical agents, including testing for the presence of ricin," said health department spokesman Michael Purcaro.
The envelope, leaking greyish, sandy granules, was found in Wallingford, Connecticut, in one of the same mail sorting facilities where anthrax bacteria spores were found in the 2001 anthrax attacks that killed five people and also involved US Senate offices.
No illnesses have been reported in either the Connecticut or US Senate incident.
The discovery did disrupt business in the US Capitol complex on Tuesday.
Around 16 people who were on the fourth floor of the Dirksen Building, where the white powder was found, were decontaminated.
Ricin is a poison made from the pulp left over when castor beans are processed to make castor oil.
There is no antidote and it can kill within 36 hours of exposure, according to the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention.

You know what, considering all the hatred the dem candidates are stirring up under the guise of "campaign speeches," it wouldn't surprise me if this was coming from some deranged democRAT who took it all to heart. Not to mention the hatred spewed by Hollywierdos on every newscast.

Given that the Dems have to keep ratcheting up the hate, how long until the civil war starts?

You could be right on this one. There are plenty of precedents for this type of behavior, to wit: Eric Robert Rudolph, Tim McVeigh and James Kopp come to mind.
I know, I know. These aren't examples of lefties going over the edge, but I think the process is the same.

I'll add some lefties to your list: Ted Kazenski, the Weathermen.
ALF, Earth First, and others burn buildings and SUVs all the time without the backlash that the pro-life movement has been tainted with (restrictions on where they can protest, etc.).

I think the question was more focused on individuals taking up the banner independently of a group, though. The Unabomber definitely fits (though I'm not sure he's a lefty, he just seems clinically insane).

Ok ,if this would have been addressed to the DNC, CNN and all of the other liberal hacks would be blaming the GOP and their allies in the NRA and the Christian Coalition. Heck they would probably bring out the militias and tie them to the GOP like they did after the OKC bombing.
Since it was addressed to the RNC. They won't blame a the DNC or any of their hacks!

Have they had follow-up test confirm ricin? The initial tests did, I know, but they often show false-positives.
