You ought to read more - I guess on FR you need to put a /sarcasm tag on your posts to let people know you are deeper than a comic book.

Yup. I mean, look at what the intelligence community went through after Pablo Escobar bought it...
Did you know human rights groups SUED `em to find out if we provided Los Pepes (a group that fought the Medellin drug cartel on the cartel's turf and terms - and that group not only survived, they managed to gut the cartel's infrastructure and flush Mr. Escobar so that the Colombian police could take him out).
Then, when one of the key players in Los Pepes, a guy by the name of Carlos Castano, pieces together the AUC, which proceeds to do an impressive job against FARC, a narco-terrorist group. His reward? A place on the SAME blacklist that FARC and al-Qaeda occupy.
I'm still trying to figure out what the "brilliant" thinking is behind THAT move, or who was the genius at Foggy Bottom who made that recommendation.

Great Post
There are ample examples of this. Senator Mark Dayton, D-Minn., just happens to be last weeks poster child for congressional stupidity.
Those of us in Minnesota that pay attention to these things know that Mark Dayton is the Poster Child for Congessional Stupidity Every week.

Please be kind enough to print out the article from this source: www.ChronWatch.com Then underline the parts that refer to Senator Dayton, add your personal note, and mail it to the "good" Senator. Everyone, even incompetent Congresscritters, deserve to receive some fan mail.
Thank you.
