Let Us Unite Behind President Bush ( A Plea Message to all Freepers)

Dear Freepers
In this crucial election year, we are seeing that some conservatives are irresponsibly attacking President Bush in very aggressive way. By doing so, they are helping the Democrats and this is not acceptable at all. In this crucial time of our history, where we are fighting the war on terror, it is extremely important that we stay firmly united behind President Bush. We simply cannot afford as a nation to have a Democrat in the White House, it will be a disaster for America. Thus, I would like to ask you my friends who love President Bush and want to see him re-elected to stop attacking him and think about the big picture. Also, I would like to ask you to personally send e-mails to any conservative journalist, radio host, or TV host who is attacking President Bush or harshly criticizing him and ask them not to do so. I already e-mailed Mr. Joe Scarborough from MSNBC asking him to stop attacking President Bush as he has been doing lately. I send an e-mail to Mr. Bob Novak asking him to tell the truth about the ultra left liberal John Kerry rather than put down President Bush as he did in his latest articles. I sent an e-mail to NewsMax asking them to retrieve my name from their e-mail news alert list because I disagree with the way they are attacking President Bush lately. Any article posted on Free Republic and that is bashing President Bush for not being conservative enough should not get any traction or responses. If we do not respond to them, then they will eventually stop posting such irresponsible articles. We must work hard in toning down the rhetoric of some of our conservative friends. We love them very much, we respect them very much, but their anger is hurting us all in this crucial election year. Please let us do so, for the sake of this great nation.
Sincerely yours; JVERITAS

I will vote my conscience by voting for a candidate who has a more than realistic chance of winning. Voting for someone one who will receive only a a tiny percentage of the votes and has no realistic chance of winning is a wasted vote--kind of like cutting off your nose to spite your face, IMHO.

I stand by my thought that those who practice the "my way or the highway" form of dissent are disruptors.
However, I will apologize that I lost track that you'd supported President Bush. And I'm truly saddened that you no longer celebrate that support.

I feel boxed in. Bush is terrible on domestic issues. He should be firing someone over the intelligence blunders and now he's delayed it with the Warren Commission.
BUT the dems are very weak on national defense, so what's a guy to do? Have to vote security first.

How about if many more people want a conservative president who will fight for what is right? Someone has to challenge the status quo to make it better.
Also, if Bush realizes he can't take his conservative base for granted would he not move to the right because he wants to be reelected?
Free Republic is not supposed to be a mouthpiece for any political party as it serves as a conservative discussion forum, yet, from what I just read by Jim Robinson it seems he doesn't want President Bush to be criticized or a third party alternative debated. This seems like a perfect way to keep the Republican party from becoming far better than it is.

War on Terror, why I should vote for Bush, I'll remain solidly against giving him another vote. Your choice. I have the feeling you never did in the first place, but hey. What do I know?
So...feeling that way, WHY would you want to continually be beat up on this site? Why wouldn't you go "someplace" else where you could hang out with buds? Rhetorical question, ANYONE in EW's position is welcome to answer it.

That you can trust him is a heck of a lot more than you can say about our previous guy in the WH--the one who wouldn't even honor his marital vows.
I agree with you Fawnn, and that's one of the main reasons I will be voting for Bush AGAIN.

Hey Pod,
I have been reading your posts too.
I'm trying my best to cease with the inflaming rhetoric.
Don't you think if a few people start and work together we get them down to a dull roar?
Or is it just a one sided deal?

Nobody has said anything about not wating to make the Republican Party better. What has been said is that the objective now is to see that President George W. Bush is reelected in 2004.

A Simple Question.
What is your position on the importance of electing someone who puts the security of America near the top (if not THE top) of his list of priorities?

Fatidic,
I am not sure you read this post from Jim yet:
Please note the portions I have bolded
I've expressed my concern about Bush's policies many times. Most people on FR have. I think most FReepers are not in favor of CFR or the Patriot Act or the expanded prescription drug program or the education bill or the increased spending or the proposed plan for Illegal Immigration, etc., etc. But most of us are not bashing him or each other over it and we're not calling Bush a traitor, or a NAZI, or comparing him to Hitler or Stalin. We're not accusing Bush of lying about the reasons for going to war and we're not accusing him of being AWOL or in on 9/11 or going to war for oil and we're not using the Democrat talking points and or every whacked out John Birch Society conspiracy theory that comes down the pike to smear him with. Legitimate criticism is what we're here for. Bashing is not.
