NASCAR will not penalize driver Jimmy Spencer for a remark about the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor or his hope that Toyota's venture into truck racing will be a failure.

Do not know if we are disallowed from posting MSN stuff, so I excerpted this. Anyway, what's your opinion? Why should he be fined for saying Japan bombed Pearl Harbor? Or is the possible fine because he has unpopular thoughts?

Well, actually the Japanese did it, but G.W.'s father secretly provided WMDs (with the help of Haliburton) to Babylon for use in their war against Persia. In return, Babylon provided the petroleum products to the Japanese who used them in the attack on Pearl Harbor. This was all to get us into WWII to help the soviet union. Up to that time the Japanese had been living in a state of grace with the nativehyphenamericans at one with nature. Its all very clear if you look.

Why should he be fined for saying Japan bombed Pearl Harbor?

1: "Animal House" fans actually think the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor.

2: Kids aren't being taught history anymore.

As a running gag, everytime something bad is reported on the tube, I say to my wife - it's Bush's fault! Mind you, that is just in jest but the sad part is that some people are not in on the joke and actually believe it. I also like your second group of blame. I know some people like tht also.

"Anyway, what's your opinion?"

Not to upset the "little" ones here, but the Japs did bomb pearl harbor, and as a "John Wayne" American, I wouldn't spit on a Jap truck. And no, I don't care how many miles they get on the speed-o-meter!

Hey man, that Dodge truck has foreign parts!

I know, but it's as American as I can get.

Geez! I've had it all wrong, all these years!

I always thought that it was because Dubya's great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather George Prescott Herbert Walker Prescott Cotton Mather Prescott Bush was secretly trying to monopolize the coconut oil trade with the help of the British Proto-Nazis, just after the War of 1812.

The Japs bombed Pearl Harbor? Geez, I thought it was something Hollywood made up so that they could make a really bad movie called "Pearl Harbor"....starring Ben Affleck.

Good for NASCAR for not falling for lame PC crap. If that's the way he feels, then why not be able to express himself in those words. My mother lost her fiance to the Japanese and one can tell that she has never felt any real love for that nation. I don't blame her.

Spencer won a truck race in New Hampshire last season in a Dodge.

Don't you mean a Daimler-Chrysler?

AMEN! Now if only this would spread to corporate America and the media.

"Tough Noogies. If you are offended, please seek professional help." should be the new standard reply.

I agree 100%, Imports not manufactured in the U.S.A. do not belong in NASCAR. Just because Toyotas are "assembled" here from imported parts, many misinformed people consider them American.
