Oh great - my two youngest sons - ages 17 and 12 are watching the Super Bowl with their Youth Group at Church. I hope they were getting refreshments during that particular incident....

Think he was just trying to get Britney Spears back for marrying another man?

That was pitiful. This is a pretty good game, then they decide to take out the trash during half-time. I don't know what's worse, this garbage, or new-age weirdness during half-time.

A lot of churches gather around the superbowl. I am sure they will be getting a lot of email about this. As for me, I turned it off at that point - and told CBS about it too.

It appears our church's decision to turn off the game during the half time show was a very wise decision.

I wouldn't worry ... it's no worse than the National Geographics of my younger days.

You know I hate to hit this one too hard but if they are watching football at Church instead of Christ centered activities then perhaps you need to change Churches. In my honest opinion worldly pleasures like a football game have no business in a Church.

At our church last year my husband went to the super bowl party and they turned it off at the half time show so I hope they did the same at yours.
