Oh great - my two youngest sons - ages 17 and 12 are watching the Super Bowl with their Youth Group at Church. I hope they were getting refreshments during that particular incident.... You know I hate to hit this one too hard but if they are watching football at Church instead of Christ centered activities then perhaps you need to change Churches. In my honest opinion worldly pleasures like a football game have no business in a Church.

We would not have this problem if the Church would do its job instead of trying to be "relevant".

Re: Your post #461
I think we'll stay in the Church we belong to - thanks anyway. This same youth group just came back home last week from participating in the March for Life in DC; they go to the Abortion Clinic early on Saturday mornings twice a month to protest - for the Pro-Life movement, they do many, MANY service projects, have regular Bible Studies, but their love for Jesus is above all the most important thing in their lives.
I think it's ok for them to watch an occasional football game, from time to time. Thanks anyway - I think we'll stick with this Church for quite some time.

I think we all remove the stones from our hands...

Well, the "Church" you are referring to is just a building, there is nothing special about it. It's just a place where people of a mutual religion gather to learn and worship. Many activities not directly related to religion happen in churches. For example, my church lets two different homeschool programs use the facilities. We also host various concerts in the main hall. In addition to that, we have airsoft games in the building monday nights. So I find nothing wrong with the youth group, or whatever group it may have been, using the facility to watch the game, it's fellowship.
