Kid Rock is an unabashed Bush supporter, so he didn't mean any offense by it. He cut a hole in the middle of the flag and wore it like a poncho. How in the world is that not offensive?

Kid Rock ... OK, this is a thread about Janet Jackson going topless on national TV and you post a picture of Kid Rock?
Are you totally insensitive?

I'm guessing that Kid Rock's fans who saw him wearing an American flag will take a positive message from it- unlike some ninety-five year old hyper-traditionalist grouches who care more about rules than beliefs.

I don't think that was a real flag. I believe it is material to look like a flag, you can tell by the weight of the material.
Kid Rock is a huge supporter of the President and the troops. He has visited Iraq for the troops ,and always supports them and what they are doing, when asked.
I just wanted to add my .02 cents for what it is worth.
It may appear to be in bad taste, but I think his motives were to show support. I bet anything MTV told him no flags , and he said.. oh yeah how about this?
I would be one of the first people screaming about it if someone trashed our flag.

He cut a hole in the middle of the flag and wore it like a poncho. How in the world is that not offensive? I have Star Spangled boxer shorts. :) They're my favorite.

He cut a hole in the middle of the flag and wore it like a poncho. And nobody kicked his ass? This country is doomed.

Well, I haven't read the whole thread (and this is probably addressed), but the former dance and theater costume designer in me asked:
Why does the left side of her bodice rip off in the first place? Designers don't do that unless they are SUPPOSED to rip off.
I smell PR spin, too.

I know Cheryl Crowe is an unabashed liberal; apparently Kid Rock will be out there campaigning for Kerry/Edwards as well.

A perfect product of our public school system. He does not know proper flag etiquette or protocol. I wonder what the military folks on hand were thinking. I'm sure they were fuming at the scene.

How in the world is that not offensive? I totally agree. Also, the flag, when not properly flying or hanging, should be folded correctly.

He cut a hole in the middle of the flag and wore it like a poncho. How in the world is that not offensive? How is that different from wearing it as a tie clip, or lapel pin, as I've seen at VFW gatherings?
