He said Republicans, now and in the governor's race, falsely accused him of waffling on President Bush's tax cuts. Chandler said he never opposed the cuts; he said they should have gone to everyone, including those who made too little money to pay income taxes.

This is, of course, not true. He said the tax cuts caused a recession and was calling it the "Fletcher-Bush" economy during the campaign.

Chandler also said during this debate said that he had called for an all-positive campaign and that he didn't want it to come to the negative ads. He always says this at the beginning of his campaigns and he always starts the negative attacks, then blames his opponent. This campaign is no different, and the NRCC has started a new ad attacking Chandler for this very thing.

Overall, Kerr did very, very well. She came across as very geniune and made no mistakes. Chandler was his usual condescending self. The article doesn't tell the whole story on the pension exchange...when Kerr asked about his pension he was caught completely off guard and stumbled for an answer.

When she wins this race, she will have nothing to owe to the president.

That's true, OTOH...Chandler will be expected to "Sleep/Hold hands w/ Barney Franks and "BoTOX" Nancy Peelosi... :))
