COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Presidential candidate John F. Kerry yesterday took aim at Republicans for questioning Democrats' patriotism, and several fellow military veterans blasted President Bush as a failed commander in chief who once dodged military service and suffers from never having learned the lessons of war.

"We need somebody who has felt the sting of battle, not someone who didn't even complete his tour stateside in the Guard," said Cleland.......
"Thank you for you support, Mr. Cleland. However, my opponent never served at all, neither stateside nor overseas."

Doesn't look like he's going give us a source. Too bad. I was hoping for a laugh, maybe something that had a link to information about the Bush/Kerry Skull and Bones Club conspiracy....

Actually ol' Plug is a hit and miss poster... comes around once in a while for a few post and then gone for some time.... His last post prior to today was back on Jan. 2, then back in mid Dec. etc..... Kinda drops in when he's lost it seems......

Hollings cast his frustration in personal terms, recalling that his units in World War II learned to avoid launching attacks if they were certain to be killed while doing so.
I can't imagine in what context Hollings said this. If this had been true...Normandy never would have happend....Iwo Jima never would have happened etc...

If you want a good laugh, go over to DU and read the Deaniac's S&B threads. According to them, we have nothing to worry about this election because Kerry is going to take a dive on purpose, as required by whatever sacred oaths bind the Bonesmen together.

Are you kidding me? So "they" have even MORE whacked out people than we do?

A few comments:
By taking this stance against those Americans who honorably serve in the National Guard and the Reserves, the Democrats impugn the service and integrity of millions of Americans. The "bloody bucket brigade" of Pennslyvania who fought so herocially during the Battle of the Buldge was a Guard unit. Thousands upon thousands of Guard and Reservists are serving, sacrificing, and dying in hot spots all over the globe as I type this.
Next--GW Bush served honorably. This is nothing but a wash, lather, rinse, repeat lie that is Goebbel-esque and disgusting, but an effective smear and lie--and there is the tragedy.
Lastly, the Boston Globe did a story on Cleland and his injury. Cleland himself has changed the story over the years--although it is clear he did not recieve his injuries "on the battlefield!" as has been repeated over and over again by Democrat mouth-pieces. Cleland himself attributed the changing story to the "painful nature" of his injury, but it adds to the confusion. The allegations of alcohol being involved in the accident have been repeated by several men who served in his unit--although none came forward publically. Moreover, GW Bush never questioned his patriotism. That is a Carville lie. The GOP ran one ad that criticized his vote against Homeland Security--and the media and the Dims could not handle that truth.

Cleland and Kerry and Clark....all lambasted Quayle for being int he Guard. Gave Clinton a pass for dodging the draft. Now it's time to start lambasting the guard again. They have no shame.
To: KQQL
Has anybody ever taken as long to get over losing a Senate race as Max Cleland has? You got voted out fair and square Max deal with it.
To: KQQL
True. The fact that Cleland was defeated still enrages the Democrats and the Liberal Media. In short--the truth hurts.
Cleland is to be commended for wearing the uniform. But he has long since exhausted sympathy by constantly demanding it. The VA hospitals of today are filled to the brim with vets from WWII, Korea, and Vietnam who never recieved their due thanks. Cleland was injured in an accident, and has not been completely honest about the facts. He compounded this sin by allowing and encouraging others to exaggerate and fabricate the lie that he "left three limbs on the battlefield!" as stated by Sen Dodd on Meet the Press in 2001. Cleland could have corrected this on the spot--he chose not to.

Because that is all they have. Honor and truth, is not a trait they hold near and dear. They have a vision, beyond us mere mortals, and it must be implemented, to save us from that pesky constitution enacted by a bunch of rich white guys, and a few corporations last year on a streetcorner in Brooklyn Heights.
