Yes there's something not right about this story. First of all, what about the female student? Certainly they could have asked her. Weird.

What a bunch of wusses. YESTERDAY we had a TEACHER threatened by a kid with a gun in his car and another "gangsta gun" was discovered in the hallway on it's way out of school in the pocket of a kid. An alert teacher spotted it and quietly alerted the school police who grabbed the punk. Gun stuff happens EVERYDAY at my school. The general feeling of fatalism is that a teacher or kid may well get capped in a brewing war between the Haitian gangs who are greater in numbers and the Jamaican gangs who are better armed and more violent. It'll be some soft liberal that gets it in the head. Not me and none of my buddies including the recently retired airborne ranger. From chatting with some of my kids the "word" is apparently out on us. LOL The kids are saying that not only are the other faculty members (wussy liberals, all of 'em) scared of us, but the kids are sayin': "Stay away from them ARMY dudes...they'll rip out your lungs for lunch!" Whether or not the assessment is true since it's been a long time since I was on active duty, it nevertheless makes us a little safer, I think. It also helps that the first year the ranger was teaching he took out five gangbangers who were involved in a hallway brawl. Laid all of 'em out cold, unconscious. Nobody ever said a word against him, either officially or unofficially.
