CNN is reporting new threats..

CNN just reported breaking news at the top of the hour..... that a new threat has been recieved by the US in the last 48 hours to use an aircraft to attack either Washington DC or LA. The flights mentioned are Air France and British Airways. CNN is reporting that this threat has been judged to be credible .......and not rehashed intelligence from last months warnings.

What's the purpose of broadcasting intelligence information? Seems to me to be grossly irresponsible. For one, what can we do about it and second, why alert the terrorists that we're on to them?

Eventually they're going to figure out how we keep finding these things out and adjust their strategy accordingly. Finally, the LAST people who should be trusted with sensitive information is CNN.

I intend to do just that. I refuse to alter my life one iota for terrorists, but that's just me.

I'm with you on that count. I use these terror alerts as a reminder to clean all my guns and rotate my ammunition.

European Airliners Again Target of Threats

WASHINGTON — New intelligence indicates that British Airways (search) and Air France (search) flights to the United States could be terrorist targets, U.S. officials said Friday.

The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, stressed there are no specific details and no plans to cancel or delay flights.

A senior law enforcement official said the intelligence is similar to that regarding the two airlines during the Code Orange (search) threat alert over the holidays.
