I'm surprised that they have to bother with this instruction. Isn't a write in something opposed to a registered in advance, balloted candidate - something that can be and most often is a spur of the moment selection? So - why is it necessary to announce this to poll workers?
Until this little hiccup occurred I was thinking that Wisconsin should be Howard Deans last opportunity to gain some delegates. There is a large contingent of radical Democrats there who are wetting the bed over Iraq and should be in line with Deans rant.
Wisconsin is a wacky state, but at least it has an open primary and Republicans can and will cross over to muck up vote
I sure did when I lived there!

Hillary a Write-In in Wisconsin
I refuse to get exercised about this until I hear it happening in a real state.

So - why is it necessary to announce this to poll workers? What's more, they generally don't bother to cout the write in votes. We do have something called an official write in (as opposed to a sput of the moment write in) and I suppose this is what they are talking about.
Disgusting!

"...We have been notified that Senator Hillary Clinton will be a Presidential Preference Vote write-in candidate..."O.K. now, how many more states will have her as a write-in candidate? 25? 35? 40? Harold "I am the unseen face of N.Y. Politics" Ickes got her elected to the Senate in 2000 and is 100% in charge of making this happen in Wisconsin, you can be sure of that. For acts such as these, not even counting his actions in the Clinton Era, Mr. Ickes has honestly earned the right to be Fed-Ex'd back to hell. LOLOLOLOL Surely nature will take it's natural course later when his heart fails him, if Hillary doesn't have him taken out first.

It's little surprise that Billary's a write-in; what makes this of interest is that the Wisconsin Elections Board is advising all of the Clerks across the state that they've been notified she's a write-in and are asking for tabulation of votes for Billary.

With kerry ahead of Bush in the polls, this is not even relevant. It means nothing. the Dems don't need her this year. Bush needs to get off his a..s and start fighting back, or we are going down.

It's just too darn sad that you're not still living in WI where you could vote against Shrillary.
