Missouri presidential debate is cancelled
Associated Press | January 30, 2004

There'll be no debate among Democratic presidential candidates in Missouri after all.

The Missouri Democratic Party today called off Monday night's planned debate, which would have been held at the University of Missouri at St. Louis on the eve of Tuesday's presidential primaries.

Missouri Democratic Party chairwoman May Scheve says organizers couldn't get commitments from Senators John Kerry and John Edwards. She cited the demands of travel coupled with short preparation time and forecasts calling for a possible winter storm.

Missouri is one of seven states holding primaries Tuesday.

May Scheve

Wonder if she calls her children in from outside by singing "Bringing in the Scheves"?

GOOD!I'm glad they are cancelled. These so-called debates are nothing more than children fighting in the sand box.I'm sick of the fact that there is way tooo much coverage of this and i'm thinking FOX news is campaigning for Kerry.

None of the dwarves layed a glove on Kerry in the last debate. What's the point of having more of them? Kerry could sweep the board on Tuesday. If he does, it is over.

He will and it will be.

The Breck girl's last gasp will be heard as SC goes for Kerry...the final slap in the face of the man who helped wreck the SC economy that he talks about reviving..
Deeenie will be his usual psychotic self and fall off into serious manic depression. He may even be on suicide watch.

Breck Girl had a shot by hitting Kerry hard, but he obviously believes he has no chance and is better served to keep things nice so he can get appointed to something in a future Kerry administration.

What Breck Girl doesn't understand is he'd be much better served by winning loads of southern delegates and walking into the convention and DEMANDING to be VP, not just hoping it will happen if he's a good little boy.

Also find it interesting that Sharpton slammed Deanie and helped start Dean's slide into the abyss, but hasn't touched Kerry... was Sharpie a stalking horse all along?

Reminds me of a scene from "The Godfather" when Vito sez to Michael,
"Tatalia is a pimp..it was Barzini all along".

what these bozos don't know about middle America, like Saint Louis, is that after the debate they could eat at Tony's (anthony's) and have one of the finest meals in America, but they are all coastal snobs and think great food is only found in DC, NYC or SFO.

Wait a minute!! Do all those union guys that Head Gephardt arranged to have at the debate still get paid? You don't want a bunch of union thugs mad at you! What about all the other guys, Vito, Guido, Bubba, who were in line for a piece of the take? How they going to get theirs? Hey, this is St. Louis!

I wonder when Mary first realized that this was an election year?
