If you dont mind, I'd like to forward the story to my Conservative writers e-mail list. But I am sure they'd want to see the footnotes and sources, otherwise folks are just gonna have to retrace your steps...and many may decide to just forget it if they cant quickly verify it.

Yes, just so, two different Kerrys. So we get back to the question, do we have any documented war crimes committed by John Kerry? If not, is counterproductive to use such language unless we have documentation, because it enables Kerry's defenders to say that we are lying about him.
I agree that the POW/MIA issue is much stronger. John Kerry and John McCain betrayed their fellow troops, and in the case of McCain their fellow POWs.

The information on the Vets against Kerry webpage is incorrect?
While in command of Swift Boat 44, Kerry and crew operated without prudence in a Free Fire Zone, carelessly firing at targets of opportunity racking up a number of enemy kills and some civilians. His body count included-- a woman, her baby, a 12 year-old boy, an elderly man and several South Vietnamese soldiers. "It is one of those terrible things, and I'll never forget, ever, the sight of that child," Kerry later said about the dead baby. "But there was nothing that anybody could have done about it. It was the only instance of that happening." Kerry said he was appalled that the Navy's ''free fire zone'' policy in Vietnam put civilians at such high risk.

The Vets Against Kerry site has great summary quotes from the Congressional Record, et al.

Kerry dumped the first wife and family for a presumably better, richer wife. IMO, he's a creep.

How many innocent Vietnamese men, women, children, and elderly does John Kerry claim to have slaughtered during his Vietnam service?

Being a war hero is not the be all and end all of getting the presidency. Bob Dole was a real war hero and it did not help him to defeat Clinton.

The problem with Howard Dean is that he was too honest. The rest of the Demonrats are all Howard Deans in their radical hatred of President Bush and their radical liberalism(Joe Lieberman the only exception). They masquerade it. They are now going with Kerry due to his supposed experience with national security and foreign policy/military matters all because he trumpets it over and over-HE IS A VIETNAM VETERAN. Yes, that's it folks. He's the modern day Benedict Arnold. Elect him Commander-in-Chief. His post military career in trashing fellow GIs, in disgracing his country in mocking it and apologetic towards the VietCong, throwing the medals, his longstanding Senate voting record that will come back to haunt him in that it will in fact show how he voted on major issues. He's attempting to try to position himself on both sides of an issue and is coming across very Wesley Clark-like.

Excellent point! Plus, I bet John Kerry didn't vote for war hero Dole :)

So we get back to the question, do we have any documented war crimes committed by John Kerry? Documented?? .. Unless you count what John Kerry himself has stated. Other then that, I don't think so.
With that said .. according to the Boston Globe, John Kerry won't release his service records
Here is one of the articles the Globe did
Heroism, and growing concern about war
