Well, that line cost him the election. It's good enough for many ads this fall.

Theresa and Botox Boy are probably arranging a cocktail party in honor of Al Queda ,so they can apologize for Bush's boorish behavior in invading Afghanistan.

"They are misleading all Americans in a profound way."

This idiot is going to get us killed "in a profound way". He's just proved he's not qualified to be president...as if we needed further proof.

Sen. Joe Lieberman of Connecticut was the only candidate who supported the war in Iraq, and credited the U.S. victory with breakthroughs on the diplomatic front.

WHAT? We have some revisionist history going on here.

Does anyone else find it odd that Kerry referred to Americans as "they"? I can't quite put my finger on it, but something seems amiss. I guess I just wouldn't want my president to refer to Americans as "they."

Well, seems fitting, he clearly is admitting to not being one of us.

So if we're the victims of another terrorist attack before the election, Kerry will blame it on Bush and no one will remember this little comment of his. And if we don't get attacked, Kerry can continue to spout off about how we've all been unnecessarily alarmed by this administation.

I think that's going to be the new lib line -- Michael Moore said that last week, that the terrorism threat is completely exaggerated.

Brokaw asked Lieberman if he thought Khaddafi would have given up his WMD if we hadn't attacked Iraq. Lieberman said no, and additionally stated Iran wouldn't have allowed nuclear inspections either. He said it was a "just war", but (of course) Bush went about it all wrong.

What was really funny, was that Kerry (so intent on spouted his practiced lines I suppose), misunderstood the question, and thought Brokaw was asking about exaggerating the threat(of terrorism) from Iraq. Edwards took advantage of that major slip-up, and brought it up during after unrelated question a few minutes later. How stupid is Kerry to be so busy thinking of what disparaging thing to say next about Bush, rather than listening to the question.

Someone should ask Kerry how many attacks we've thwarted in the last two years...

It's rotten journalistic style to refer to the President as "Mr. Bush".

"I think there has been an exaggeration," Mr. Kerry said when asked whether President Bush has overstated the threat of terrorism. "They are misleading all Americans in a profound way."

Madness.

Vote for John Kerry and the "traitor/treason" Democrat Party and you are voting for your death and the death of your families. It is just that kind of Bill Clinton thinking and action that got thousands of American innocents slaughtered on 911! Any person who votes for the current Democrat Party is voting for their own demise from this earth.

That idiotic statement will haunt Kerry for as long as he is a candidate.

Mock the threat of terrorism? Kiss up to the French and Germans? Quite apart from the fact that these would be irresponsible policies for our country, how can he or anyone with a brain think that this will play politically in November?

I think it's possible that the 'Rats have given up trying to win in November and the main contenders (Joe excepted) just want to get the t-shirt that says "I was an official 'Rat Candidate for President"!

NYC is chuck full of liberal who would agree with this, as insane as it sounds. I live here, I know. This is what many liberals really think. They believe that the WOT is a marketing gimmick thought up by the GOP.

Yep. I remember the anti-war protests in Union Square Park, in the former shadow of the Twin Towers, within days after 9/11.

I remember arguing with a female co-worker, a lefty, over whether we should even fight Bin Laden and the Taliban in Afghanistan, while outside out the window, Ground Zero was smoldering.

I remember the relentless doom and gloom over the Afghan war; the NYT, the Village Voice, the New Yorker, Sydney Schanberg, the Dems, the left. Now they all look back and pretend they were gung ho from the start.

And we all know about Iraq, and the desperate efforts to see this President defeated and destroyed. The Patriot Act, Guantanamo Bay, the rights of illegal Arab immigrants... THAT'S what gets them passionate. And they hate nothing in the world so much as patriotic, God-fearing Americans.

John Kerry and his kind can go eff himself. I don't care if he's a vet...the reckless garbage he's spewing right now about America outweighs that a thousand-fold.

Let's see. Terrorists have already demonstrated an ability to kill 3000 people on American soil at a time. Kerry now says the threat of terrorism is exaggerated. He must be suggesting that the administration has indeed made us safer since 9-11.
