Dennis Miller On CNBC!!!

Emmy Award winner Dennis Miller brings his take-no-prisoners, suffer-no-fools style to CNBC’s prime time lineup.

Emmy-award-winning comedian Dennis Miller is the host of CNBC's "Dennis Miller" (M-F, 9-10 p.m. ET/PT), a topical interview talk show featuring reasoned discourse, opinion and humor. Miller also serves as executive producer of the program, which is produced by NBC Studios. It's been said that Miller is "one of the premiere comedy talents in America today..." While others are blunt assessing Miller's comedic stature, Dennis himself makes a virtue of understatement, but there is nothing low-key about his career.

"Honestly, I think he is for real."

I tend to be gunshy with these neuvo-right entertainers. Remember that David Brock dude a few years ago that wound up kissing Hillary's fat feet? Horowitz, tho, is super. I've read a lot of his reasoning and understand (I hope) how he got some sense in his head. Remember that old saw: The difference between a communist and a socialist is that the communist KNOWS what he's doing. So, it worries me to see a formerly vicious critic of the right suddenly become a "best friend". Hmmmmmm.

What really blows me away in this day and age is that after 4 days on the air there is still no Email for either directly to the show or CNBC, that is definitely smart marketing there.

I believe him when he says that Sept. 11th was a turning point in his life. He is intelligent enough to know that his world view needed correction. He appreciates President Bush and doesn't feel the Democrats would have done what has been done to bring safety to America.

Is he a dyed-in-the-wool-conservative-true-blue-through-and-through? Probably not, nor does he try to pass himself off as one. IMHO

I'm cable-challenged and can't get him, so I appreciate everyone's comments. I was listening (briefly) to a liberal talk show host tonight who did a whole segment ranting about Miller the conservative. The guy clearly didn't have a room temperature IQ!

Miller does his show sans audience in Burbank.

As I've mentioned many times to you before, it would be my pleasure and honor to send Frederick in the Bentley (or Rolls) to Beverly Hills and pick you up for a night of boob tube watching and lobster at my estate.

I think you have described him to a "T" there Ruth. I agree he doesn't hold a pure conservative view, but I still genuinely believe him when it comes to the war and his support of GWB for it.

I've caught a few minutes of a couple of the shows and I have to say I kind of like it. I really can't stand Hannity and Colmes anymore. I thought Miller did a good job with Guiliani. Some funny stuff. I am glad to hear that the panel will be changing. The panel was definitely the weak point of the show from what I have seen. I think he'll do an even better job as time goes on.

According to Kevin Neelon, Miller was never really a lefty.

So true. First of all, it was difficult to even find mention of Dennis' show on the CNBC site, (which was hard to find in itself.) That whole site blows chunks, actually. Somebody needs to get serious over there, for Dennis' sake.

Sounds good, where is the studio, I think a live audience would definitely liven the show up!!

True, the only mention of his show I have seen is on the forums for CNBC and then it is mostly the lefties bitching about him. I guess that means he must being something right at least.

Horowitz is terrific, but Naomi Wolf is so awful and irritating, that I had to change the channel while she was on. The panel has to go.

As lefties go, she's not as irritating as those screaching harpies that Fox News has on all the time, like Ellen Ratner, Susan Estrich, Eleanor Clift and Ann Lewis. I just hope he doesn't have Jeanene Garafalo next week, or some other Hollywood type. Martin Short I can take, but most entertainers are just too dumb to talk about politics and still be funny.

My failure to attend a FReep is soley as a result of laziness, not shyness.

I wish it were shyness.....

at least it would be a more palatable excuse.

I agree with you, and I think we do ourselves harm if we insist on complete agreement or that people were always with us. He's saying things that are helpful and certainly surprising in his neighborhood. Give him that much. He's moving in the right direction and praising Bush. That's a lot better than most Hollywood type.

I thought tonight's show was extremely entertaining. Imagine Martin Short,Naomi Wolf and David Horowitz sitting together and belly laughing over some remark by Dennis. The concept is fresh, lively, atypical of the dreary talk show format and Dennis has the most unusual sidekick- a chimp in a diaper . Ellie, the chimp, is not on all the time, but, sits with Dennis in the beginning and end of the show. He talks ( about politics-generally skewering liberals) and she plays with a sound box of Dean's scream. Everytime Ellie presses the red button,Dean screams, while Dennis is talking. Now,if they could bring Ellie to the Democrat debates, she might liven up the place. FOX was crazy not to give Dennis a time slot-he challenges the liberals and is entertaining and funny at the same time.

I found his show more than flat

I sure don't know what it is but the show just lays there like my last wife. Dennis needs to pick it up. And the monkey stuff is wayyyyyyy overdone.
