Good article. I figured out the segregation angle a few weeks ago. "Anti-life" issues are more important. The good bishop's Notification was decried as "unprecedented", but that is an absolutely false lie from the liberals. The precedent exists, and there currently exists more justification for excommunication than that which existed over school segregation.

.....a right to choose whether they will be Catholics and politicians or politicians and agnostics.

I am assuming you mean atheist not agnostic.
Agnostics believe in God, atheists do not..
As to abortion, I assume there are agnostics on both sides of the issue, just as there are Catholics..

I do, however, applaud the Archbishop for taking a moral stand in keeping with the Religion (and it's beliefs) which he represents..
He is obviuously a man of strong character and deserving of the respect of all Missourians, Catholic and Protestant alike..

I am not Catholic but I sure do like this man. His first order of business was to come in and stir the pot. Anyone that has the guts to do that is alright by me.

My next question would be; are you going to call out to those in the Catholic Church who use birth control as well?

Keep those left hooks coming there Archbishop Raymond Burke !!

Raymond Burke, who was installed this past Monday as archbishop of St. Louis, has an answer. He has declared that public officials who act to expose the unborn to the violence of abortion may not receive Holy Communion, the sacramental symbolic of Church unity.

It's about time. The Apostle Paul had no problem with giving immoral brethren the left boot of fellowship, even to the point of delivering them "unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh (whatever that actually means, it sounds pretty serious) so that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus."

My thoughts, too. He's got the abortionist feeling a little uncomfortable, which is good.
