Being I do not want this to be assumed as a vanity thread I am posting a legitimate article that was recently brought to my attention.
This article has upset me greatly. When the Freedom Bus Ride was ongoing, we had an ongoing thread posted by EternalWarming. On this thread I posted an after Freep report my daughter and I attended in Chicago. On this thread someone also posted an inflammatory picture which was removed but we tastelessly laughed at it.
We had someone, that obviously was a DU and threatened us but singled myself out, with reporting it to Southern Poverty Law Center that I in fact was a hate monger. As many poster's this person was a hit/miss. I attended this Freep back in June. And this article has a few paragraphs about me, one of which is exactly what I posted. The second, is apparently doctored and quite contrary to my post. I cleared this in order to be able to post it.

Today begins an ongoing thread to add your links, important news, legislative happenings etc. all regarding the protection of our borders. There are now so many articles and news stories that it is good to have one place to view it all.
I will start off this thread with saying I believe we all need to contact our state representatives and those is our party who need to know this is not a one-horse issue that will go away.I have stated that all it takes is one issue to start a domino effect and the entire administration could fall apart. None of us wants that to happen. We also need to contact the media and make sure the democratic spin on this is not for political advantage. This issue is closely correlated with the War On Terror for terrorist's are using our open border's against us the same way they used commercial flights to attack us on 911.
Being I do not want this to be assumed as a vanity thread I am posting a legitimate article that was recently brought to my attention.
Here is the story:
Anti-immigration activists confront a pro-migrant freedom ride joined by some of America's leading neo-Nazi groups
Exerpted:
On the sparkling afternoon of Oct. 3, 18 buses carrying more than 900 Immigrant Workers Freedom Riders rolled into New Jersey's Liberty State Park. The riders, many of them illegal immigrant workers from Central America, had boarded the buses nearly two weeks before in 10 different U.S. cities.
Inspired by the 1961 Freedom Rides for black civil rights, they'd made more than 100 stops in small towns and big cities to promote their reform agenda: greater workplace protections, reunification of immigrant families, and a "road to citizenship" for America's estimated 8 to 10 million undocumented workers.
Some of the protests had been lonely, with one or two anti-immigration activists holding signs with slogans like "Being Illegal Is Not a Civil Right." But at upwards of a dozen Freedom Ride stops, the anti-immigration activists had been joined by members of the nation's largest white-supremacist hate groups all of whom had come together for today's demonstration.
Their arguments often sounded similar. Like Turner and many hate-group leaders, the powerful Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) and Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) called for federal officials to arrest the undocumented Freedom Riders.
"Any event that advertises the participation of illegal aliens ought to be raided, and the illegal aliens deported," Mark Krikorian of CIS told the Miami Herald.
At a Chicago rally, where members of the white-supremacist Council of Conservative Citizens and the neo-Nazi White Revolution appeared along with members of mainstream anti-immigration groups, protesters held signs saying, "No more free rides. No more welfare. No more stolen jobs."
This is where I need to interject ...The first highlighted paragraph 'is' in fact what I posted in my after Freep report
For many of the anti-immigration protesters, rallying side-by-side with neo-Nazis and Klansmen was too close for comfort. "Turns out we were smack in the middle of a damn white supremacist group!" an anti-immigration activist calling erself "JustPiper" complained on an Internet chat site after the Chicago counter-demonstration.
This is obviosuly what the DU troll rewrote from the rest of my report for me and sent it to SPLC
But what really got under JustPiper's skin seemed to be the Freedom Riders, not the neo-Nazis from White Revolution. "[T]hese banditos kept screaming obscenities and threats at us," she claimed. "Lemme tellya, they were just coming with signs like cockroaches!"
I've posted thousands of replies and articles here and never have I said something so idiotic or silly like this. I have made a derogatory remark about illegals offhanded saying they were reproducing like some creature. And yes I posted they were yelling threats and obsecenities at my daughter and I. But we stayed silent holding our poster's in front of us. Also we left the group when a federal agent (This was in front of the Federal Building)told us we were standing by white supremacist's which means now both side's were scaring us and we went to stand with some police officer's who knew our dual plight. So people firsthand I am feeling the sting and I will not back down from the illegal immigrant issue!

Just Say No to Arnold
For Immediate Release-- January 30, 2004
Governor Schwarzenegger has ignored the massive public outcry against any form of legal documentation for illegal aliens and is now following in lockstep with President Bush who has proposed an amnesty to more than 12 millions illegal aliens in the United States. Arnold has gone back on his recall election promise, knowing that California's voters are overwhelmingly opposed to giving driver's licenses to illegal aliens. His pledge to repeal SB60 was a key element in his defeat of Cruz Bustamente as well as the successful recall of Gray Davis; both of whom pandered to ethnic voters and were rejected by them.
SBX3 2 was introduced by State Senator Gil Cedillo during a special session of the State Legislature last November 23, 2003.The bill, which had been withdrawn in response to the overwhelming public rejection by Californians, had to be reintroduced by Cedillo so it would be available for the current legislative session. Otherwise, without that action, SB60 would have been "Terminated" and unavailable for the 2004 Legislative Session. SBX3 2 currently uses extremely vague language so as to escape any public attention. However, it will soon be amended with the real language inserted.
The notion that illegals will buy auto insurance is just that, a notion. Illegals can't qualify for preferred carriers and will have to get assigned risk coverage, a form of insurance that most citizens cant even afford.
Save Our State says no to Schwarzenegger's driver's license bill and no to Bush's amnesty proposal; we're asking the people of California to help us get the SOS initiative on the ballot for the November election. Petitions can be downloaded from the SOS web site at save187.com. This constitutional amendment will prevent Schwarzenegger and the State Legislature from giving driver's licenses to illegal aliens and will also make Bush reconsider his amnesty scheme.

Unidentified military unit caught crossing U.S. Border by Chris Simcox Tombstone Tumbleweed
Well before dawn broke on a chilly Saturday morning volunteers of Civil Homeland Defense were in position atop ridges along the San Pedro River scouting for groups of people entering the country illegally. Through binoculars this reporter spotted two military type vehicles parked at an abandoned ranch just across the Line, the U.S. - Mexico border.

Immigration: For those who think that illegal aliens are a good deal because they will work for such low wages, consider this figure $9 billion.
That rather large sum is Rep. Dana Rohrabacher's low-end estimate of how much is spent each year on health care for illegal immigrants, not by themselves but by others.
So while illegal alien labor might be cheap for businesses that employ undocumented workers, it isn't, as Rohrabacher points out, for taxpayers.
Rohrabacher arrives at the $9 billion figure by multiplying $21 billion, the amount of uncompensated health care services provided last year by the American Hospital Association's member facilities, by 43%, the estimated portion of the uninsured in the U.S. that are illegal immigrants.

Sheriff concerned about violence, plans volunteer patrol

BISBEE - Sheriff Larry Dever said Thursday that illegal immigrants are becoming more brazen putting the lives of Cochise County residents in jeopardy.
An extreme example of how dangerous the border situation has become is a Thursday morning carjacking, during which a woman and her daughter were assaulted at their residence by three Mexican nationals who illegally entered the United States, Dever said.
"They (illegal immigrants) are more desperate and obviously they don't care about American citizens," he said.

According to 2002 statistics of the former Immigration and Naturalization Service and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, more than 375,000 illegal aliens residing in the U.S. have been ordered deported, but failed to appear for deportation proceedings. Of that number, 80,000 are criminal aliens who served time in prison and were then released without the knowledge of federal immigration authorities. This group includes convicted murderers, drug dealers, rapists and child molesters, all because local law enforcement does not have knowledge of their illegal resident status, or in some cases because local statutes called "sanctuary laws" prevent local police from enforcing federal immigration law.

Colorado eyes limit on benefits for aliens

DENVER A third Western state is moving forward with a ballot measure to deny state services to illegal immigrants, an effort that could spell trouble for the White House by galvanizing opposition to President Bush's guest-worker proposal.
Rep. Tom Tancredo, Colorado Republican, began the latest campaign last week by announcing that he had filed papers for a Colorado constitutional amendment that would restrict all but non-emergency services to U.S. residents and legal aliens.
His proposal follows similar efforts in Arizona and California, where organizers are circulating petitions for citizen initiatives that would ban state welfare and other services for illegal aliens. If they gather enough signatures, all three measures would appear on their state ballots in November.

The Bush Amnesty Plan: A Tragedy in Three Acts
HUMAN EVENTS ^ | Jan 30, 2004 | William Buchanan
Posted on 01/30/2004 11:59:46 AM CST by Federalist 78
Many individual events have occurred during the Bush Administration's tenure. However, there is one theme that consistently flows through the administration's domestic security initiatives. It is an undisguised, almost obsessive effort to eliminate our southern border.
Complementing this endeavor is the one and only goal of Mexico's Fox administrationto drive as many Mexicans into the United States as possible. Bush's new "temporary worker" plan, in rapacious pursuit of cheap labor and votes, prefigures national self-destruction, while Fox seeks to maintain the corrupt and oppressive oligarchy that misgoverns Mexico.
Theirs is a tragedy (for us) in three acts.

Proposed Resolution
Enforce the Current Immigration Laws
WHEREAS our own government cannot control its own borders, a central requirement of a Nation, and
WHEREAS with the government's estimate of eight to twelve million illegal aliens currently here already, with hundreds of thousands more entering illegally every year, and
WHEREAS in our continuing war on terror an open border is an invitation to attack, and
WHEREAS illegal aliens committed one crime by entering the United States, another one by working without permission, probably a third felony by using a false SS number, and a fourth felony by using forged documents, and
WHEREAS an American citizen cannot go to Mexico, commit four crimes, and then receive amnesty or benefits there, and
WHEREAS illegal aliens are causing increased burdens on our government agencies and public infrastructure, especially along our southern tier of states, and
WHEREAS the excessive amount of illegal aliens already is a large factor in depressing current wage rates for American citizens, and
WHEREAS past amnesties have only served as an invitation for additional migrations, and
WHEREAS liberal political correctness even tries to prohibit us from using the term illegal aliens, which they are, and instead prefers to use the term 'undocumented workers', when these illegal aliens should be really be called unconvicted felons,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the South Shore Republican Club in caucus assembled that the US enforce its current immigration laws, seal its borders from aliens, along with the possible use, if necessary, of the US Armed Forces to
'defend' our borders, and that any illegal aliens found here be detained, sent back to where they came from, and their native government be billed for their transportation back home, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the United States, or any state, or any local government, provide no rewards, amnesties, visitation extensions or benefits to illegal aliens, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a law be passed, and enforced, to require proof of citizenship to register to vote, photo ID to vote, and proof of eligibility for public benefits.
