Suicide Bomber Was A Palestinian Policeman 15:42 Jan 29, '04 / 6 Shevat 5764

(IsraelNN.com) Hizbulla Television has reported that the Fatah affiliated terrorist group known as the Al Aksa Martyrs Brigades is claiming responsibility for this morning's suicide attack in Jerusalem. The attack, which claimed the lives of 10 Israelis and left more than 50 others wounded, occurred on Egged bus No. 19, on the corners of Arlozorov and Gaza streets, very close to the official residence of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. The man, Ali Yusuf Jaara, a resident of Bethlehem, was an officer in the Palestinian police.

MK’s Speak Out in Response to the Jerusalem Terror Attack 13:25 Jan 29, '04 / 6 Shevat 5764

(IsraelNN.com) More Members of Knesset speak out in response to the Jerusalem terror attack this morning. Yuri Shtern, chairman of the National Union Party, said that “the prisoner swap deal, which included the release of 400 terrorists, seems even sillier in light of the terrible attack this morning.” More: “It is impossible to eliminate terror through defensive tactics alone; we must return to attack mode and eliminate the heads of terror and destroy the terrorist infrastructure.” Eli Yishai, chairman of Shas, said Israel must, through any means possible, re-acquire its power of deterence. Professor Aryeh Eldad lamented that “we are freeing terrorists and receiving more bodies in return.”

Not "my" religion.
These are terrorists. They are despised.

It's true, it's true, I wish I had bookmarked more articles from that time, but I did not.

But I got so sick of hearing that man lie every day. He and the Mayor of Bethlehem were working as a team, it seemed, and both of them doing their best to inflame Christians so they'd stop supporting Israel. It only made me hate the Palestinians more, I assure you.

The same Palestinian Authority police we send money to so that they can take action against terrorists.

[IMRA: So much for the "concepts". Ali Yusuf Jaara carried out a murderous
suicide bombing today.

Concept #1 Suicide bombers are the product of poverty - give them employment
and you stop the attacks

Reality #1 Ali Yusuf Jaara, a 24-year-old Palestinian policeman from
Bethlehem was gainfully employed. He supported his extended family with his
salary.

Concept #2 Recruit the terrorists in PA security to prevent them from
carrying out attacks

Reality #2 Ali Yusuf Jaara, a 24-year-old member of Yasser Arafat's Al Aqsa
Martyrs' Brigades was employed by the PA as a policeman.]

Pass the word up through your church leadership that you find their tolerance of other "leaders" who are terrorist apologists abominable.

It will be tricky right now, because as this was happening, Israel was releasing around 450 Arab terrorists and going about a prisoner exchange with Hizbullah. NOt sure what will happen to that.

Regarding the prisoner exchange; did Israel know that the three Israeli soldiers they were trading for were already dead or was this another arab double cross? What's the mood on the street about this swap? Are Israeli citizens happy about this trade?

This is rediculous...is Israel ever going to defend itself? What kind of FREAKIN world do we live in?

Is there no shame?

Over it....

More citizens it seems are against the trade. Israel knew they were dead, by Hizbullah would not back up the claim until the last moment.

I'll add it to my extremely long list of things I'm passing up. I'd hate to dissappoint you but nobody is listening.

Nobody except God that is, which brings me great comfort.

Yonif - Some time ago I found a website (I seem to recall it was put out by Alan Dershowitz, the attorney); anyway, it had a list of all the suicide bombings, etc. done since September 11th 2001 or something like that. Do you know of any kind of site that has a comprehensive list like that with date and number killed, injured; anything.

I am becoming increasingly horrified at this and why we aren't doing more to stop it. I'd like to write some letters but I'd like to have some hard data.

If you can help, please e-mail me privately. Thanks for keeping me informed.

Shalom

Only solution is war. War so terrible that fools like these killers live in fear of retribution for their deeds. The protection of the World for the Arabs of Palestine has made them not fear Justice.

I'm late to this thread.

I'd like to see Israel give a warning and then destroy every building within a half a kilometer of where this guy lived. (excepting churches, if any, and their immediate vicinity - mosques, of course, are preferred targets)

LOL! I've never heard it put that way.

It's been said that the Episcopal Church is "Catholic Light". If that's true then it would follow that I'll have to wait until these crustaceans are composing for the Boston Pops before my concerns are addressed.
