And yall can't see the forest thru the trees. Each of Bush's socialist trees is building a socialist forest. To you the big picture is electing someone with an R next to his name. To us the big picture is keeping a Constitution Republic and yall ain't helping one little but.

Only if that 20% voted for him. That is far from the truth, just as it has been for every republican presidential candidate since 1992. That so called “base” has been a defacto opposition party for 15 years.

All I can say is that this item hit a raw nerve tonight, which I think is because we have out of control spending.
Money being spent on new programs we can't afford.
Although this is peanuts compared to the Prescription Drug bill it is symptomatic of the spending that Bush has brought to his Presidency.
He has never vetoed any of these spending bills. Starting with his Education Bill it has been one major social program after another and lets face it we can't afford it.
I support Bush on a number issues and will vote for him again, but I have to question why he has been on the tirade to try and outspend as well as enact a lot of social programs that are going to put a mighty strain on the budget and country in the near future.

Why bless your heart...you poor thing.

Tell me, in minute detail, HOW helping to elect Dems, is protecting the Constitution, forwarding the Conservative movement, propping up the Republic, and getting you what you claim to want.

I'm doing more than my share of the heavy lifting, you and your ilk are punching holes in the bottom of the boat, as fast as you are able.

I have yet to see someone explain the political logic behind this proposal. How can Bush possibly think that it is going to garner more votes from the left than it will lose on the right??

ANYONE????

Or is Bush just plain being STUPID?

Every comment you have made so far....

You would like to consider yourself as well informed on the issues at hand. But when we read your rhetorical misrepresentations about the President's record, it is plain for most of us that you don't have a clue how this government functions, or what has taken place in the last 3 years.

You base your fundamental views on what you guess, must be the correct outlook.

But please, don't stop posting your hypothetical depositions on my account. The entertainment value is impeccable!

The US Constitution gives the federal government few and limited areas of responsibility in our republican system of government. Among those clearly defined areas are the defense of the nation and the defense of our borders.

True. I try to avoid it because I believe it has bad connotations and is a filthy word.

But, I said F, not the word.

Or maybe it could be that Laura asked for it. At least she isn't trying to take over 1/5 of the economy like Hillary.

[you and your ilk are punching holes in the bottom of the boat, as fast as you are able.]

That is because the boat is headed to hell and yall will not turn the tiller. So we rather drown in cool clean water then roast in the fires of hell.

re electing a Dem president, lot's of us are being to think that maybe grid-lock is better then Republican rule. Just a thought but it is taking root.

I'll try one last time. What is the political logic behind the proposal to dramatically raise funding for the NEA?

Point out one "hypothetical depositions" I have made.

I have claimed that Bush has increased the size of the government, which he has.

I have claimed that he has increases spending, which he has.
