I agree.

While Ken Burns is good, so are the things on History channel or discovery.

As for Bill Moyers, that shows the CORRUPTION in PBS. He has made millions on his insider deals with PBS, sits and pontificates on issues that his favorite foundation (Schumann Foundation) showers him with funds to study and make shows about. He's reselling the same cr*p pablum to PBS three different ways, when they are a "non-profit".

It bothers me greatly that my taxpayer contributions fund his unwatchable dreck.

You know what's amazing is that the same people who say "Bush isn't a real Conservative" everyday are the same people on FR who want Condi RINO Rice for POTUS in 2008.

Or Rudy...

Because I don't want to end it- I want to use it for conservative ends. I'm not opposed to 'government' I'm opposed to left-wing government.

Am left speechless. This sentiment is wrong on so many levels.

Why? That is Republican party dogma. Conservatives want the NEA defunded, pulled up by the roots, Republicans what it to fund their favorite arts projects. It is past obvious that the GOP could care less about conservatives.

Give me a break. I have supported and continue to support FOR THE MOST PART, this President. He is in the process of alienating his base, however, with what looks like pandering to people who won't vote for him anyway. Reality check, respectfully disagreeing with President Bush does not make someone a DU troll. Get over yourself.

Clark said he would put additional funding into the National Endowment for the Arts and encourage both philanthropy and art education

I guess this is Bush's response to Wesley Clark.

Yet another liberal policy that Bush can take from the DemocRATS and make his own. Another four years of this and Hillary won't have much left to do when she moves in the white house in 2008.

First off, exactly how much is this"huge" increase? Secondly, this ain't Bill Clinton's NEA. Thirdly, how many of us here have discovered Drudge has had a few major misses? Do any of you recall when Rummy was shot all to pieces over an office for propaganda(I forget the exact name) .Well, if it's 20 mil USD spent in this direction, to play the psy ops game, so much the better.
Anyone here ever heard of the National D-Day Museum? Anyone of you support our vets types hear about this? Curious about this last one, but there is a reason for it.

The Bush Family believes in reading, arts, sports, and well rounded American citizens.

So, let the Bush family spend their money then on all that then. Don't force me to spend my tax dollars on unconstitutional feel-good federal programs--that's the Democrats' job, in case you've forgotten.

Please let Drudge be talking out of his a** on this one.

If Drudge isn't, combine this with the "Jobs Americans Won't Do" proposal and whoops - THERE GOES 25% OF HIS CORE.

Has somebody kidnapped the president and left Bill Clinton with a facelift in his place?

This whole nightmare reminds me of a movie about this where an actor took the president's place. . .

I think president Bush will be re-elected in 2004. I do not expect him to change his stripes. In 2008, having discovered that, like smoking, liberalism is bad for your health, an overwhelming majority of American's will come to their senses, decide its time for a change and vote in a conservative president. ...

Or... maybe not.

What good is a war if it's defending a socialist nation?

That'll make a mighty fine tag line for someone.

The way this President is acting in the last month, makes you wonder if he's nipping at the bottle again. Was listening to a radio program the other day interviewing an author who wrote a book about Laura Bush. Seems to me the first lady is coming out of her shell. According to the author she's not a conservative, pro-abortion and babies the brats.

When is the establishment going to say the Emporer has no clothes?

Exactly. I'm not going to whip myself into a lather until I hear more than an inflammatory Drudge headline. He's not exactly President Bush's biggest fan.

Good point .. he's not

I guess I'll wait for further information before I get upset about this

Its a jobs program for our grand children... they will ALL have to work because they won't have any choice... hahahahahaha... such a genius!

At birth (well, those not aborted) would become slaves of The State. Wouldn't THAT be a complete reversal of history - from slavery to freedom back to slavery. Oh well, life goes on, kind of. Good spin, though - we're doing it FOR THE CHILDREN!

It only takes about 20 posts to go from "if this is true" to "WE ARE DOOMED!"

"I agree with you. However, I am still going to vote for Bush for president.... Constitution Party everything else."

I'd be careful on that - where we *really* need more conservative republicans is in Congress.
voting 3rd party anywhere where a reace is contested throws it to a liberal candidate.

.... you do realize that we were ONE VOTE SHY of passing the TOOMEY AMENDMENT which would have cut out millions of junk grants at NIH? It was a 215-215 vote (RINOs + liberals opposed, conservative Republicans for).

Think about it. Every vote counts. Make yours count too!

I understand your disappointment, but is this sort of remark really necessary?
