Say whatever you want. If you have to ask, then you weren't paying attention, and are hardly worth bothering with.
To: unsycophant
YOU SAID: "What bothers me is the attitude by some conservative types that it is okay for state officials to assassinate Rush Limbaugh's character even if it means lying about him, smearing him and his associates---because he and they "deserve" it for not being good enough Republican conservatives. Something is wrong with our side if this is what we condone"
I ask you to back up that statement by revealing who "some of the conservatives types" are .. obviously you cannot do that .. but instead, you are rude to me and say "you weren't paying attention, and are hardly worth bothering with".
I contend you are a pot stirer .. trying to say that people here are besmirching Rush .. when only disruptors, like yourself, are the ones who are besmirching Rush. And .. the only "side" you're on is your own.
Clue: Our conversation is over!!

Oh- OK, so now purposely omitting things that you may think are irrelevant is lying ?
I think we are covering this in the other thread....

Wait until Roy Black hits the county with a 7 figure civil lawsuit for the unlawful disclosure of confidential information. That would kill two birds with one stone. Any pursuit of criminal charges against Rush would certainly be moved from the jurisdiction of this slimeball if both the prosecutor and the county are also defendants in a civil case\. Last but not least, The threat of a million dollar lawsuit may be enough to cause them to lose interest in Rush. Rush has enough money to make a civil suit drag on and get really ugly and I am sure they (prosecutor and county officials) don't want to have to answer questions regarding this investigation under oath. The BS immunity deal that is protecting Rush's accuser was probably not a coincidence. Food for thought.

Not irrelevent, not at all and she and the Bar told him there was more to it than just whether an exemption could be found. Knowing this full well, He released the documents anyway, and did so pretending the bar and the AG agreed with him in this course of action. (when of course they did no such thing)
That's deliberately deceptive behavior and all your tortured OJ jury rationalizations can't change that fact.

1) Does Roy Black do civil lawsuits? I thought he was just a criminal attorney. 2) If DemoRat activists are behind this, which I think is possible, if not probable, then a multi-million lawsuit threat will go nowhere. Rush is the ultimate conservative head to put on a platter for them, adn I don't think they'll back off, no matter how absurd their attempt may be.

The Florida State Bar Association should now look into this with the ethics complaint being filed. Another avenue would be the A.G.'s office, but I don't know if a Republican or DemoRat holds the office.

bump! The complaint is now reviewed by a bar prosecutor
there are email adresses, Not that you heard it here.
for a decision on whether it should go to committee.
IF it is a hot potato he/she may just leave it to the randomly assigned committee to decide if there is or is not probable cause.
The SA will have time to respond. (if they ask for an extension, it is not unusual and they are freely given) Then LLF will have time to respond.
The committee is made up of both lawyers and non-lawyers. All volunteers. No part will be made public from the part of the Bar until probable cause has been found. At this stage, the preliminaries are considered confidential.
To: GreatOne
I don't know if Black does civil cases but it is clear that they released confidential documents. They have tried to say that they obtained an opinion before they did it but the sources don't support their claims. Sounds like an open and shut case. Probably not the way Rushbo will go. He wants this behind him. Perhaps it would still add leverage to make the criminal investigation go away.

The only thing he needs to do is get a co-counsel that does do law suits...

Hahaha...!
It was stupid for this mediocre prosecutor to play games like this with Roy Black. Really, really stupid. And now there will be consequences. Enter Mark Levin and Landmark. I give it about a week before the Palm Beach County State Attorney decides that "it is in everyone's best interest to put this matter behind us."
To: BOBWADE
The question for the SA is how to spin this into not being an ethics violation. The Bar can expand or contract the complain as they see fit. Their investigation is not automatically limited to the behavior complained of.
The question now is to find out which committee it has been assigned to and to find out if there are cronies on that committee. You will generally find committee members will recuse themselves if they know the person in any way.
To: wcdukenfield
Does anyone have the actual complaint? If the actual complain is not specific enough. (even citing a few rules) There may be a weaseling.
To: RS
Just wondering who leaked the internal communication between the AG's office and the SAO ?
It was on Rush's website before any news stories came out, so I assume that the AG sent Rush or Mr. Black a copy.

Is that a verified cause of action in Florida? For a guy who is financially well off, I suspect Rush would rather have a felony free record than a hypothetical 7 figure settlement. Of course, if that was the case his friend wouldn't be able to grandstand.

This is a wonderful point. Doesn't it also make you question why Landmark is targeting the prosecutor, when he's on his home turf, in a liberal county and can really make Rush's life a living hell for the next few years?

Why? The prosecutor isn't going to have to pay a civil judgment. The taxpayers of the county will. That only gives them more incentive to convict Rush. But given their usually exists a doctrine called governmental immunity, its very unlikely anyone is going to see any $$.

I used to read the same thing here about Larry Klayman.

Methinks Levin and Klayman are twins separated at birth.
