The Houston Area Texans Chapter

The FreeRepublic Network

Is having a birthday party!

When: Saturday, February 7th, 2004 ~ 5:00 pm

Where: Cabo ~ 419 Travis

How: METRORail

Come celebrate two years of FReeper fun! In December 2001 five FReepers had an almost secret meeting and agreed to form a new Houston area Chapter. On January 19, 2002 we had our first meeting of the newly formed Chapter.

Houston FReepers

The past 2 years we have FReeped, worked elections, attended the Texas GOP convention, had some wonderful days at the range, joined in some great rallies and enjoyed each others company.

Operation Infinite FReep - Houston 02/15/03

We stood up to the socialists when they called former President Bush a murderer.

We let Senator Jeffords know what we thought of him giving the Democrats the Senate majority.

We defended the Second Amendment against false claims of the gun grabbers.

We reminded LULAC that illegal immigration is a crime and our porous borders are a danger to our security.

As delegates, alternates and interested guests, we joined FReepers from around Texas at the state GOP convention.

We relax, too - We enjoyed a wonderful celebration of San Jacinto Day for our April meeting

. . . and much, much more!

Please join us February 7 as we kick off our third year. . . and help us make it our best yet!

Many of us plan to meet at the Fannin Park and Ride and take the train downtown. This is being done to make a showing of our bravery and willingness to live life on the edge. Protective head gear is recommended. We will board the train at 5:00 pm. We should arrive at Cabo's at about 5:30 (We will de-train at the Preston St. Station). There is paid parking available downtown near Cabo's if you wish to meet us there.

Remember - if you entered our FR coffee mug give-a-way you may be a winner. Come and get your mug!

One of the judges during the drawing for the FR mugs was a dawg.

Alas, no.. that's Gilligan, he lives over at Flyer's.
He comes over here to visit sometimes, though!

I think he likes the food.

Ann Coulter just called, said she can't make it.

I told her not to call again, I hate that, send an email like everyone else.

Anyway, she sends her regards to us all.

That would be a funny sight gag/political statement (AKA FReep) for us all to wear helmets on the Mame Train. It would be even funnier to get about 50 people with helmets to ride the Caboose of Carnage on Super bowl Sunday (and tip off of the media ahead of time that we would be doing it. :)

And the alternative is me getting yelled at for not enough advance notice.

Maybe we should move the Daily Chatter over here for a few days. . .

It's 6°F degrees outside; I don't have anything better to do. I guess I could get back to work... Naaawwww... I'll just keep shamelessly making up reasons to bump this thread.
