The head writer tried to get on Flight 11 but there were no seats left in first class. I think he was booked on the same flight for Sept 12.

It WAS the sound of bodies hitting the plaza. I think USA Today estimated 200 (that article is posted somewhere here).
That's why the firemen in the lobby in that documentary look so bewildered. They are watching it all.
The networks (foreign and domestic) have similar raw footage on tape in a locked vault somewhere.

"just curious, but how extensive are these files? just 9/11 related or other stuff too?"
I'm sorry but I find that to be a very strange question.
Kind of like asking someone when they stopped beating their wife.
Plus I'd feel more comfortable answering you, if you'd been here more than 10 minutes. Of course, if you were a regular, you wouldn't BE asking a question like that.

I think your points were well taken.
For some reservation guy to be asking stupid questions of someone who was obviously being professional is beyond the pale, and typical of a know it all union employee.
When Betty was saying that she though they (the hijackers) were in the cockpit, his helpful comments were to the effect of the pilots could be keeping the cockpit sanitized, and maybe they had the door locked. That guy should have had a supervisor there in the first 3 seconds of the call, and if he doesn't know what #3 on the flight is, he shouldn't be working there.
I don't know why she called reservation, and not 911. I find it amazing that they don't have emergency numbers to call. I think that goes back to giving the pilots all the power, they could carry guns, had lots of radios, etc, and treating the flight attendants like wait staff with no training either.
We still haven't learned either. We are so concerned with PC BS that we are not effective at security, airport or otherwise. If I was running it, 30 yr old muslim men named Muhammad would be best to just not fly.
We need to learn from Israel, about security and then ramp that up a bit.

Good points. I too wondered why she called reservations. She didn't sound like she was panicked in any way. Maybe that's what they are trained to do on their own because she said, "the pilots aren't answering the phones" which means their first duty is, like you said, to let the pilots take care of it.
And when the guy said, "maybe they are sanitizing the cockpit" why didn't he think to call the pilots? And I found it weird they had to ask for the flight number so many times.
And after she mentioned staff had been STABBED, their only concern was, "have you moved the passengers from first class". No one asked about the condition of the stabbed people. Then "flight operation" breaks in and asked the same questions all over.
But beyond all this, I still can't believe the radar towers didn't jump on the fact 4 different flights, at about the same time, were off course. I caught some crap whining about bureaucracy, but that's what happened. None of these individuals took any personal initiative to think, "crap...something is happening". It all sounded so "by the book" and "let's get our forms out" and follow instructions without thinking.
But of course, the terrorist knew this. They knew by taking many flights over time and checking out how the employees reacted. Remember when actor James Woods told about he saw these guys on a dry run and he thought they were suspicious and he went to the FAA and FBI, etc. and they did nothing?
It's like someone said, the mentality of "that can't happen" got turned into policy. And that's from sheer laziness and f'ing government intervention which creates garbage out of anything they touch.
To tell you the truth, I'm still shocked to this day we are the richest, biggest and best economy on the planet with all the morons we have.
Regards.

Well, I know what I'll be hearing in my dreams again tonight. Then I'll see that vivid photo of the popped body on the sidewalk. (obtained elsewhere). And I'll wake up, feeling guilty that I haven't helped bring their murderers to justice, that their are people who don't care and I haven't made them care, that I haven't done something - something - I don't know what. No wonder I don't like to go to sleep at night. How do liberals do it?

This tape while chilling, serves a purpose to re-ignite our awareness of the murders who tried, and will always try to take away our freedoms. The fanatical islamics have been murdering those people they feel are infidels for hundreds of years. We are just their latest targets. God rest the souls of our murdered Americans, and their families.
Never forget.....Never forgive.
